AKWA IBOM IYEMME CULTISM INITIATIVE HOLDS INAUGURAL LEADERS MEETING
~ Vows To Eradicate Cultism In The State
In a bold move to eradicate cultism in Akwa Ibom state, the Akwa Ibom Iyemme Cultism Initiative held its inaugural leaders meeting yesterday, August 12, 2024, at Discovery Park, Uyo. The event marked a significant milestone in the group's quest to foster a cult-free society. Evangelist Idy Uworoifun, popularly known as 'Street Apostle', set the tone for the meeting, expressing gratitude to God for bringing thus far. He highlighted the group's evolution from Youth Empowerment and Anti-cultism Initiative to Akwa Ibom Iyemme Cultism Initiative.
Street Apostle emphasized the need for the anti-cultism movement in the state, citing the achievements of the initiative, including the withdrawal of 62 cult members from different cult groups. He applauded Governor Umo Eno's efforts in combating insecurity and social vices in the State. The Street Apostle pledged to support the government through the "Umo Eno Iyemme Cultism Local Government Tour" which is a project the group is unveiling officially in no distance time with the sole aim of taking the campaign against Cultism to the 31 Local Governments in Akwa Ibom State. He appealed for the people's support in the fight against cultism because a tree has never made a forest.
Pastor Uduak emphasized the spiritual nature of cultism, stressing the need for spiritual guidance. He urged the leaders to seek divine direction in their quest to eradicate cultism. Adede Ekomobong Umana assured Street Apostle of his support in mobilization, emphasizing the importance of genuine intent. He praised the group's name, saying it was captivating and inspiring.
Precious Okon and Hon. Angela vowed to champion the cause of the Akwa Ibom Iyemme Cultism Initiative selflessly. They pledged to work tirelessly until the expected end is reached. The leaders deliberated on strategies to combat cultism, sharing ideas and experiences. They expressed their commitment to the initiative's success. The meeting marked a significant step forward in the fight against cultism in Akwa Ibom State.
