I'VE BEEN HEARING MANY BELIEVERS EXCITEDLY TALKING ABOUT THE BETHLEHEM STAR (The so-called Christmas Star) BECOMING VISIBLE THIS MONTH...
Well, I hate to burst your bubbles, brethren. However, while it is indeed a rare occurrence, the aligning of Jupiter and Saturn is NOT the Bethlehem Star. The wise men followed the star on a long journey from the East. It did not shine for a short period of time, as will be the case with Jupiter and Saturn aligning. The star that the wise men followed was a very special star (not natural) that moved before them and hovered above where Jesus was when they finally caught up with him. It finally stopped some time AFTER his birth and NOT above the manger. While it is true that the shepherds did visit at the manger, they were told by an angel to go to Bethlehem. They were not guided by a star as the wise men were. The wise men caught up to Jesus sometime later. And, it was not at a manger. It was at a house.
Matthew 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. Don't let the world dupe you into discrediting the word of God. Everything to do with the birth of Jesus Christ was miraculous. There is nothing about it that natural science and/or astrology can explain away.
