He expects us to obey Him and keep His commandments and His Word. We have no excuse. We pray this message blesses you as it has blessed us.

The word of God tells us in James 1:8 (KJV) that "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." Being double-minded is really a matter of the heart. James 4:8 says this: "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." The remedy for a double-mind is a purified heart, which is cleansed through the word of God. Let us go Bible: "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word." This is found in Psalm 119:9 (KJV). If we are dealing with being double-minded or with a person who is double-minded, then we must pray, read the word of God, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Only the entrance of God's word will give light and understanding. Let us overcome double-mindedness through godly wisdom and be stable in, on and through the word of God in all that we do and speak. Being unstable and double-minded can hurt us and damage all areas of our lives. Today the "HBC Fasting and Praying Challenge" will target areas of wavering, instability and double mindedness. Let’s ask God to reveal those areas where we are wavering, double-minded and unstable in our faith, speaking, thinking, decision-making, faithfulness to God, handling responsibilities and finances, covering our marriages and families and in our wills and emotions.

Good morning and welcome to the Sunday morning service at Humble Beginnings Church at 8:00 a.m. Today's message titled, "Present But Not Properly Grounded," focused on the issue of instability. God does not want us, as believers, to be unstable. We must stand firm on the Word of God. There is so much compromise in the world today, but we as Jesus Christ followers, must remain steadfast in the Word of God. James 1:8: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. We pray this message blesses you as it has blessed us in Jesus' name. Amen.

God wants us to know how to handle offenses. The enemy is gaining ground on us through offenses by killing, stealing and destroying relationships. We cannot be retaliatory in dealing with offenses. In this life, we will offend others (sometimes intentionally and unintentionally) and we will be offended. No person is exempt from this. We have all hurt someone and have been hurt by others, including ourselves.

Here are the words of Jesus in Luke 17:1 (KJV): "Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!" Here is the definition of woe according to Meriam-Webster Dictionary: "Woe is a noun or interjection that means great sorrow, grief, or serious trouble."

It is wise for us to check ourselves in offenses. If great sorrow, grief or serious trouble is present in a relationship, then it is most likely caused by an offense of some kind. Jesus told us how to handle offenses by taking heed to ourselves first, then with rebuke, repentance and forgiveness. Here are the words of Jesus in Luke 17:3-4 (KJV): "Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. According to dictionary.com, "To repent means to feel deep regret for a past action and make a sincere choice to change your behavior."

Now let's make some choices to let go of some offenses today. Time is too short. Let's not let the enemy hold us hostage. Let's walk in the word, freedom, peace, faith, forgiveness and authority given to us in Jesus' name. To glean more, visit https://youtube.com/shorts/HFvVyTfDli8 or https://hbczachary.online.church.

We, who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, serve the Almighty God. So if we serve and have faith in and believe the Almighty God, then why are we allowing certain situations, people and circumstances to unsettle us and have us walking in fear, discouragement and disbelief. Let's keep our confidence, trust and faith in the Almighty God and always be reminded of these things: (1) Remember what God has done, (2) Recognize what God is doing, and (3) Rely on God for what comes next. Pray this: "Lord open my eyes and my understanding to help me see that you have a track record of faithfulness. Help me to realize that nothing (absolutely no thing) is too hard for you God in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen."
