WHO WILL RECEIVE $?
We continue to collect money. All previous donations have been spent in the first initiative of Zachary Support from Afar.
For now, new donations will be used to support Locals who have been financially impacted by this pandemic. We will be giving it back to these business owners or families that have fallen on tough times along with fallen through the cracks of government assistance.

•Other like families and businesses
HOW WILL WE USE THE $?
•grocery gift cards (hopefully $200 increments)
•we pay for family style meals at local restaurants ( set up and paid for by ZSFA)
•medical assistance for medication (ex: insulin for a child or their family member)
•resources & connections with local chamber and banks for government aid/assistance/ support
•possibly all, but not limited too
CONCEPT:
We are southerns (most of us) and when things goes haywire, we feed and protect our own! It’s the southern way!
Remember that casserole that showed up on your door when you were in a tight spot or a tough time? This is a modern day version of a casserole. We can’t fix your pain or fears, but we can show you, WE ARE HERE! Thinking of you. Praying for you! Rooting for you! From home, we are doing our best to show you, you matter, we notice it’s tough times and we need you to keep fighting! Show them they make a difference in our community and we can’t survive without ‘em! 🥰

Over the last 6 weeks YOU have so generously donated to support and provide meals to LMRC, EMS, police, fire and pharmacies. That’s over 450 employees each week and that has helped our local restaurants in turn. It’s been amazing!!
With that, we would like to shift gears and head in another like minded
“community supports community” initiative.
So... please read to understand the shift.
May 6th will be our last meal for these groups, BUT we will still be feeding our town!
Over the last 7 weeks of quarantine we have seen a lot of changes and most of us have seen a “new need” that we have not encountered before. New changes within our homes, friends and families homes, within our neighborhoods and cities, and within our nation. We would like to give back to OUR OTHER ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL, the people that keep our small town running. The “backbone of our community.”
These are the people and businesses that donate to our kids baseball team, Girl Scouts, sick family members, raffles, school fundraisers and so much more. This group of people help pay our schools and city taxes. These people show up to make our community great and help make it the thriving city we take great pride in.
These are ALSO the people whose doors have been completely closed since the dawn of COVID-19. The very same people that leapt and decided to take their savings and turn a dream into reality, for us! Their blood, sweat, tears, help create the heartbeat of ZACHARY!
This is a group of individuals that you don’t typically see asking for anything, but in turn making sure they give back at every chance they can. We want to help them now and let them know we “see” them and support them. We understand that this is a devastating & stressful time for many.
