Christians on Campus at UCR

We are a group of students at UCR who love the Lord Jesus and endeavor to give Him "the first place in all things." -Col. 1:18

We are a group of students who are composed of believers in Christ from various backgrounds. Our goal is to help one another pursue Christ with the Bible. Together we hope to:
-Further our relationship with Christ
-Find companions to run the Christian race with
-Read and fellowship over the Bible together
-Advise one another on how to succeed as a Christian on campus
-Become grounded in our faith

-Discover our place in God's purpose
-And much more! Join us for:
-On campus Bible studies | Twice a week at the tables between the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Pierce Hall
-Home meetings | Local Christian families in the Riverside area open their homes and have us over for dinner alongside with some fellowship, singing, and reading the Bible
-Christian retreats | Twice a year, join fellow college Christians from across Southern California for a time of mutual fellowship, spiritual rejuvenation, in-depth studying of Bible passages, and recreational activities

This past weekend, we attended the 2025 Fall College Conference, and had an awesome time learning more about our WONDERFUL Jesus (this time in the Gospel of John!) We saw Him as:

🐑 The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29b)

⚕️The Bronze Serpent, who was lifted up to destroy Satan on the cross, so that whoever believes into Him may have eternal life. (John 3:!4)

🌾 The Grain of Wheat, who was sown into the earth through death, releasing His divine life so that He might be multiplied and thereby glorified. (John 12:24)

📖 The Word of God; the very explanation and expression of God who was from the beginning. (John 1:1, 14)

🍞 The Bread of Life, who came down out of heaven to supply us with Himself as our spiritual food. (John 6:57)

🍇 The True Vine, who spreads His divine life through His branches (us!), bearing fruit as we abide in Him. (John 15:1, 4-8)

🙋‍♂️The good Shepherd, who desires to lead us, His sheep, out of the fold and into Himself as the pasture, the feeding place, where we may eat freely of Him and be nourished by His life. (John 10:10).

This summer we have a wonderful opportunity to 1. actively develop our personal time with the Lord Jesus in the morning, 2.hear and put into practice fellowship concerning college life, and 3. learn how to share the gospel with our friends and family under shelter-in-place restrictions at the 2020 Summer Life Pursuit!

We will be having freshman connect tomorrow at 12 pm! Come to the grass lawn by the bell tower for some ice breakers and an introduction to our club. We will bring PARTY pizza from local business Antonio Pizza as well!

A New Heart and a New Spirit || Ezekiel 36: 26 "I will also give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh". We had such a great time this week at the 2018 College Training in Oak Glen. The Lord gave us a new heart to love Him and a new spirit to receive Him. May we be those who are poor in spirit and pure in heart!! p.s. Ask us if you would like to know more!

There is a certain kind of love and peace that comes with being with the Lord. 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your anxiety on Him because it matters to Him concerning you". In the countless late nights that I worked on my dissertation, I would simply turn to my spirit and touch the Lord to give me strength and solace. I just cast my anxieties upon Him and trust that He is sovereign and has a perfect plan. In my 6 years here in riverside I can testify that I have never felt too overwhelmed because I knew that God was working in me. 1 Peter 5:10 says, " But the God of all grace, He who has called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and ground you".

"Our God is a wonderful God who desires to be known by us and expressed through us. We live, however, in an age that not only is ignorant of God, but even opposes what He is in His nature and what He wants to carry out in His economy. Hence, it is critical for us as young people to know God, see God, and gain God in our experience so that He can have a testimony for Himself on the earth."
