MEET ME IN THE WATER – SUNDAY, MAY 3RD, 2026 | YATES CENTER, KS

Our family had quite the adventure this past weekend! On Saturday afternoon, we packed up our 15-passenger van (known as “Ruth”) and headed to Yates Center, Kansas for the Meet Me in the Water baptism revival at Still Waters Edge Retreat, hosted by Kayla Gabbard Ministry. We took out the back seats of the van and camped overnight in the parking lot. So much joy in this adventure!

As we walked up to the baptism area on Sunday morning by the private pond, we could feel the Holy Spirit moving powerfully through this ministry, and the servants who give their time to host it poured out the love of Jesus to everyone in attendance.

Our family of five walked in the water together, holding hands, as the staff prayed over us before we each individually got baptized. It was an amazing experience, one we will never forget! We are so grateful to the kind woman who offered to record our entire family’s baptism and I was able to get screen shots of parts of the baptism from the video.

Throughout our time there, we witnessed healings, deliverances and FREEDOM as men, women, children and families were baptized! Each baptism was a personal experience, no rush to get it done quickly, and prayer was offered to every single person.

This ministry of purity and obedience to the Word of God is evident as believers bury their old selves in the water and they are raised to new life again (evidenced by signs, wonders and miracles)!

Their ministry link is below. They travel all over the states as the Lord leads, to offer baptisms and prayer to searching souls. We honor this ministry and what they are doing for the Kingdom!

We are so thankful for this experience that breathed encouragement and inspiration into our family!

Living in purity has been on my heart the last couple days. What does this look like in our day to day?

What it’s not is perfection. Hear me on this.

To be pure means to be clean, free of guilt & impurities, without fault.

Purity means the quality or state of being pure.

Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, because of HIS pure & perfect blood, means that He has offered us a gift, an opportunity to live a life in purity. We will fall short because we are human. But the Lord sees our heart.

And the purity comes with maturity.

Stay humble and hungry. Ask the Lord to search your heart for anything that is impure.

“But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”

In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use.

If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth.

Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.”
