Do you have a Revolutionary patriot in your family tree? Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) honors and preserves the legacy of your patriot ancestor. Over two hundred years ago American patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of DAR, through participation in the Society's various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by
actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join the DAR, regardless of race, creed, religion or country of origin. Our 170,000 members are located in 3,000 chapters across the country and around the world. Our mission is to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism in our communities through the programs and projects of the National and State Societies. Our members are a multifaceted group of women of all ages who are dedicated to perpetuating the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence. During the year we offer a variety of programs and speakers who enrich our knowledge and perspectives. If you have any questions please let me know. I am looking forward to working with you.
