Good afternoon everyone, Grace and peace!
For this Noon prayer time, I would like us to draw our attention to this scripture today.

St. Matthew 26:66-67
66 What do you think?”
They answered and said, “He is deserving of death.”
67 Then they spat in His face and beat Him; and others struck Him with the palms of their hands,

The high priest, who was supposed to be spiritually aware of the reality of the Son of God standing right in front of him, asked others what they thought of Jesus.

The high priest had asked Jesus who He was, and at this particular point in scripture, Jesus told them who He was.

They said this innocent man was guilty not just of a slap on the wrist, but guilty of death.

The high priest and others with Him, gave their opinion of Jesus. What is an opinion: a view or judgment formed about something (or someone) not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. I would like to ask you, what do you think?

They said this innocent man was deserving of death. We, on the other hand when we may be living a deliberately sloppy Christian life and are falling away from the faith, are also crucifying the Son of God afresh as the scripture says, and putting Him to an open shame. (Heb. 6:6)

This innocent Jesus suffered the punishment and death of a guilty man, to take away our sins and our guilt. May we always remember the depth of suffering He endured, to heal the depth of sins that we carried. Our life and lifestyle shows what our opinion of Jesus is.

We are exhibiting what we think about Jesus everyday. If we think He’s worthy for us to live for, suffer for, rejoice in, others will see what we think and He will be glorified. If we berate Him by loose living and unbridled passions, we are showing that we have a low opinion of the Lord.

May we remember that they spat on Him, beat Him, slapped Him and after a while, finally, crucified Him.

Let us take up our cross daily and follow Him. Let us be the living epistles that men can read and see Jesus. Let’s show the world that our opinion of Jesus is based on fact! The price He paid was too high for us to be casual about His sacrifice.

If we have to go back to the altar, repent, humble ourselves before Him, let us do so in order to get the full benefit of His sacrifice - abundant life and life everlasting!

Thank You Jesus for Your sacrifice. I pray you help us to walk in the power of what You did for us!

God afternoon everyone!

I am postponing the Noonday Prayer until further notice. However, I will be sharing scriptures for prayer points that we can all meditate on and hopefully be increased by.

Isaiah 12:3

12 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

Yes, we were once living a lifestyle of sin, following the lusts of the flesh and of the mind and were by nature the children of wrath as the scripture says. But God, who is rich in mercy, loved us and forgave us and changed us so that now we walk in the newness of life. With His stripes we were healed from sin and shame and sickness, and are clothed with His righteousness.

Verse 3 of this passage states that with joy we draw water out of the wells! The word wells (ma’yanah - spring). This word indicates that the spring that the Lord has provided for us will refresh us and renew us as we draw from it. Of course the well known scripture in St. John 4, when Jesus says ‘out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water’, is exactly what Isaiah was talking about. The river, the spring, the source from which we draw daily to be strengthened and renewed. We draw it joyfully, knowing that it is from the Lord. Knowing that the refreshing water which represents the Holy Spirit revitalizes us in our times of weakness and infirmity of the spirit and/or of the flesh.

Lord, we draw from the Spirit everything we need to prosper in our salvation. Thank you that you have forgiven us, now we can sing praises unto you, we can trust and not be fearful, because You, JEHOVAH, are our Strength! Hallelujah!

Today, our noonday prayer will not be online. But however, the meditation that follows will encourage your heart for God's mercy towards us!

Lamentations 3:22 KJV
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

Today we are thanking God for his Mercy.

Psa 117:2 says: For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

We depend on the Lord's mercy. We need God’s mercy. We don't deserve God's mercy, but His love and compassion moves His heart to give it to us anyway! Because of His mercy we are kept back from destruction and from being consumed by the trials of life.

There are weighty situations and traps of the enemy but the Lord keeps us by His mercy. Yes we have had difficulties, challenges, afflictions and miseries as Jeremiah stated. But then when we recall to mind His mercy and compassion, we have hope.

When we recall that today we have new mercies, we realize we have not exhausted nor can we exhaust God’s mercy if He be for us.

So, as He is merciful, let us yield to the Word in St. Matthew 5:7 which
says to us, blessed are the merciful
for they shall obtain mercy. Let us be like our Father, giving mercy, being compassionate so that we are not consumed by one another.

May we pray that the Lord will give us grace to believe His Word - if we give mercy, we shall receive mercy. Not only from God will we receive mercy but also from man (which ultimately is God working through man.). We realize some situations may have to be dealt with by including consequences, but even in that, we have to look for the place where mercy can be applied and consequences can be less severe.

Lord thank you for your mercy!!!

There will be no Noonday Prayer today. However...

Acts 12:5 - Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Most of us know the miraculous end of this story.
