The ALTAR (Active Living, Transformation and Renewal) is on the last Friday of every month at SOAR Richland 🙌🏾

Today, we hosted not one, not two—but THREE Easter Egg Hunts! 🥚✨

Our youngest group in The WELL Jr. kicked things off with 200 eggs, 2 golden eggs, and 1 Gospel message. Then our next group in The W.E.L.L. followed, where 150 eggs disappeared faster than you can say “resurrection!” Both of these moments were made even more special by the help of our Upperroom students, who stepped in to serve, lead, and love on the younger kids.

But what they didn’t know… was that there was an Easter Egg Hunt waiting just for them on the other side of the church.

And that’s the lesson.

Their service reflects the life we are called to live because of what Jesus did on the cross. He didn’t just die for a moment—He died to transform our lives. He died so we could become good and faithful servants, loving others, serving selflessly, and walking in obedience to Him.

The chaos, the excitement, and even the moments where help was needed reflect the brokenness of this world—the very reason He endured the cross. And yet, through His sacrifice, He made a way for us to not only live differently here on Earth… but to receive something greater.

A heavenly reward.

Eternal life with Him.

Just like our Upperroom students served without knowing what was waiting for them, we too serve, love, and follow—not for recognition, but because of Him… trusting that what He has prepared is far greater than anything we could imagine.

That’s what the cross was for.

As we step into a new year, I just want to pause and say thank you.

When I look back on this past year in S-Kidz Youth Ministry, I’m overwhelmed by what God has done—and by the people He’s used to do it. What started with a movie night turned into a renewed vision for The ALTAR and a partnership with AWISH that truly shifted what was possible for our ministry. I don’t take that lightly.

I’ve watched The W.E.L.L. grow beyond our expectations. We ran out of room—not because of poor planning, but because God kept sending children. Expanding into The W.E.L.L. Jr., The W.E.L.L., and The Upperroom was a beautiful reminder that when we make space, God fills it.

One of the greatest joys of this year has been seeing our young people step up across the church. Serving. Giving. Worshiping. Leading through dance and song. There’s something powerful about watching the next generation not just attend church, but be the church.

God also stretched our reach beyond Cape May County and into Atlantic County, largely through the faithfulness of our partners at AWISH. That expansion reminds me that this ministry was never meant to stay contained—it was always meant to overflow.

This year marked four years of ministry. Four years of prayer, sacrifice, learning, and trusting God even when it was hard. I am deeply grateful for every volunteer, every partner, and every family who has poured into The W.E.L.L. and The ALTAR. This work has cost something—but it has been worth everything.

Our team grew this year, and I don’t see them as staff—I see them as family. Faithful leaders who teach, lead worship, and minister through movement with hearts fully committed to our kids and to Christ.

We also stepped into something new with our young adults through Divine Conversations. Hearing the church expressed through their voices has been both humbling and exciting, and I believe it’s only the beginning.

And while Christmas and Easter remained anchors for us, adding moments like Trunk or Treat and Friendsgiving allowed us to meet people in new ways—creating space for joy, connection, and belonging.

As your leader, my heart is full. I’m grateful. I’m humbled. And I’m expectant. Thank you for trusting this ministry, for praying, for serving, and for believing in what God is doing through our young people.

Here’s to obedience, growth, and continued impact in the year ahead. God is not finished yet

This morning at WELL, our pre-teens and teens did something powerful.

They wrote down old habits they’re ready to leave in 2026 (represented by yellow notes 💛) and new expectations (represented by pink notes🩷) they’re trusting God with—and then they placed them at the cross ✝️
A visible act of surrender. A reminder that real change doesn’t start with what we can do, but with trust in what He will do.

As we usher in a new year, we’re inviting our kids—and their families—into a new season of growth, healing, and purpose. We’re grateful to walk this journey together and to partner with families as God continues to shape what’s next.

Here’s to a year surrendered to Him. 🙏🏽

We kicked off our 4-Year Anniversary in spectacular fashion today—with a huge birthday celebration honoring all that God has done since October 1, 2021! 🎂 As we celebrate and praise God for what’s ahead, we also take time to reflect. Through every up and down, high and low, and good and challenging moment, God has been faithful. We’re so thankful for the support of our church family, our community, and most of all, our God, who continues to shape who we’re becoming. Seeing all these faces today reminded us exactly why this journey has been worth it 💛 And the celebration isn’t over—there’s more to come all month long! Stay tuned!🎂✨
