The mission of COTS is to help those homeless by meeting immediate crisis needs, however as we grow and acquire our buildings that we're believing for, we'll expand our services to meet other areas to equip them in life and job skills as well a strong commitment to themselves to get out of their current lifestyle. Our ultimate goal is to help them believe that they have value, believe in themselve

s, trust God for the plan and purpose that He has for them, grow in Christ, find housing and become self-sufficient. We are also going to expand in our ability to help in disaster relief which is where buildings/warehouses will be imperative to prepare stocking with the appropriate necessities needed in disaster aid. Response after a disaster is critical so having these supplies will allow us to get on the streets quickly and meet the immediate needs efficiently. As an educator for Missouri and Illinois through the South West IL Human Trafficking Rescue and Restore Coalition working with the St. Louis coalition we'll also offer educational workshop trainings until we can define where our efforts will be best strategized and implemented. We are able to receive financial donations now through our non profit status but will not be able to send tax exempt letters of receipt until we are finalized in our acceptance. However, we are keeping records to provide those once completed. We have many needs such as printing costs for materials, cost of food permits, donation barrels and labels, underwriting the costs of weekly meals, etc. If anyone is interested in investing into our efforts, checks may be sent to Churches on the Streets P.O Box 602 Wood River, IL 62095. We are always accepting donations of gently used seasonal clothing, blankets, toiletries, pre-packed food/fruit/high protein foods, cases of water, flashlights/batteries, wash cloths/towels. A complete list can be found on our Facebook.

Have you ever felt like your faith was too small to matter? Maybe you've prayed for something, hoping against hope, but wondering if it really makes a difference. In Matthew 9:29, Jesus offers us a life-changing truth: "Because of your faith, it will happen."
Imagine that moment. Two blind men, living in a world of darkness, dared to believe Jesus could change everything. They didn't have perfect lives or unshakeable faith. They simply trusted that Jesus was who He said He was.
And that's the beautiful simplicity of faith. It's not about having all the answers or never doubting. It's about bringing our mustard seed of trust to Jesus and watching Him work wonders.
This verse invites us to examine our own hearts. Have we allowed past disappointments to dim our expectations of what God can do? Have we settled for a comfortable faith instead of one that transforms?
Today, let's dare to believe again. Bring your hopes, your hurts, your seemingly impossible situations to Jesus. Your faith, however small, is precious to God. It's the key that unlocks His power in your life.
Remember, Jesus isn't looking for perfection; He's looking for trust. And He's ready to meet your faith, right where you are, with His miraculous love.
Ask Yourself:
What situation in my life needs a touch of faith today?
How can I trust God more, even when I can’t see the outcome?

🙏🏼 Dear God,
Thank You for loving me, even when my faith feels weak or uncertain. There are times when I feel overwhelmed and unsure, wondering if my simple prayers even make a difference. But You remind me that it’s not about having it all together—it’s about trusting You with every tiny bit of faith I have.
Today, help me bring my worries, my hopes, and my dreams to You. Give me the courage to trust that You are at work, even when I can’t see it. Let my heart rest in the truth that You’re with me, and that every step of faith I take matters to You.
Thank You for loving me, even in my doubts. I'm so grateful You're always here.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I've been on the phone multiple times today talking with a young woman, unhoused who's been battling a serious addiction after being trafficked. There's many layers of complexity but after managing to escape on her own, she's been running, hiding and self medicating from all the trauma.
But thank God she's with a minister couple who are friends of mine, in the area she's been in, and on her way to a wonderful faith based program to get clean and work through her problems. Please pray fervently for "D" as it's not going to be easy but I know she will have a beautiful testimony in the future and help others! Thank you God!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼

Peace. We talk about it, we long for it, but let's be honest—some days it feels like a whisper we can't quite hear over the noise of life. Our minds race, relationships get messy, and worries keep us up at night.
But Psalm 34:14 doesn't tell us to simply wish for peace—it calls us to actively pursue it. Like a treasure we can't afford to lose.
This means peace isn't just a feeling—it's a choice. A daily decision to walk away from bitterness and step into God's presence. It's choosing prayer over panic, grace over grudges, and trust over control.
And here's the beautiful truth: peace isn't found in perfect circumstances—it's found in a Person. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is the One who quiets our storms and settles our anxious hearts. When we chase after Him, we discover that peace isn't something we have to manufacture—it's something He freely gives.
So today, don't just wait for peace to find you—chase after it. Let it shape how you love, how you forgive, and how you trust. Because when we pursue peace, we're really pursuing Him. And that's where true peace begins.
Ask Yourself
Am I actively seeking peace in my thoughts, words, and actions?
What’s one way I can reflect God’s peace today?

🙏🏼 Heavenly Father,

The world feels restless, and sometimes, so does my heart. But I don’t want to just long for peace—I want to pursue it. Help me turn away from anything that fuels division, fear, or anxiety, and instead choose kindness, forgiveness, and trust in You.
When worries take over, remind me that true peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it’s found in knowing You are in control. Fill me with Your peace, Lord, and let it overflow to those around me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Imagine sitting in the upper room, hearing these words from Jesus' own lips. On the eve of His greatest trial, knowing the anguish that awaits, He speaks of joy. Not fleeting happiness, but a profound, unshakeable joy that He wants to share with us.
This joy isn't just a feeling; it's a Person. It's Jesus Himself, dwelling in us through His Spirit. It's the joy that fueled His obedience to the Father, that sustained Him through betrayal and death, that burst forth in resurrection power.
When Jesus offers us His joy, He's inviting us into the very heart of the Trinity. It's a joy born of perfect love, unwavering trust, and eternal purpose. This joy doesn't deny our pain or struggles; it transforms them into testimonies of God's faithfulness.
In a world desperate for lasting happiness, we carry within us the answer. Today, in your victories and failures, your laughter and tears, will you embrace the complete joy Jesus offers? It's not just for perfect days, but for this day—for you, exactly as you are.
Ask Yourself:
What’s weighing on my heart today, and how can I find peace in Jesus' joy?
How can I invite Christ’s joy into my struggles?
🙏🏼
Loving Father,

Thank You for the gift of Your unshakable joy. Even in moments when life feels uncertain or overwhelming, remind me that Your joy is alive in me, steady and true. When my heart feels heavy, lift my eyes to You. Let Your joy be the song that carries me through the hard days and the light that shines in the good ones.
Help me to share that joy with others, Father. Let it spill over in the way I love, in the words I speak, and in the peace I offer. May Your joy transform every part of my day and be a reflection of Your love to the world around me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
