Today, the Pitt County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.celebrated the end of another successful year for our Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. programs.
We were honored to hear from Watsi M. Sutton, whose message on "Becoming Her" was truly inspirational. Her words encouraged not only our Academy and G.E.M.S. participants, but everyone in attendance. We are grateful for the wisdom, motivation, and lasting gems she shared with us.
During our celebration, we proudly recognized our Delta Academy and Delta G.E.M.S. participants, as well as two outstanding graduates who will be attending North Carolina A&T State University this fall. We also honored the recipient of the Gladys Ross Sanders Memorial Scholarship and the recipients of the Argie Cannon Memorial Award.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the parents. Your unwavering support, commitment, and partnership help make these programs successful. Thank you for entrusting us with your daughters and for encouraging them to strive for excellence. Your love, guidance, and involvement play a vital role in their growth and achievements.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the Sorors who have supported, mentored, and encouraged our young ladies throughout the year. Your dedication continues to make a meaningful impact.
Special thanks to The Gold Post Cafe and Truly Blessed Catering Services, Inc.for hosting our event. The decorations were beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious. We also extend our appreciation to Howard Humphries for capturing these special memories for us to cherish for years to come.
Congratulations to all of our honorees and participants. We are proud of each of you and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish!
