Motivational Monday: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:28-29)

It’s another Monday.

By now, you’ve successfully pried open your eyes (no matter how many times you hit “snooze”), and even that probably feels like an accomplishment. If you’re like me, the first whispers of coherent thought in your waking mind weren’t that great. Worry about your job. Dread of the unending loop of weekly tasks. Frustration with a family member. Or just plain weariness.

On some Mondays, it can be hard to believe that you matter, that God is listening, and that it was really worth getting out of bed.

It’s time to replace those lies with the truth—truth about who God is, who you are, and what you’re doing here on this earth. These verses aren’t some kind of cosmic pep talk… they’re reminders from a God who loves you that he made you for a purpose. That means no day is wasted, not even a terrible Monday.

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”(1 Corinthians 15:58)

Promise: Even when we don’t see the results of what we’re doing, God is always at work. He can give us the strength for the mundane tasks of life.

Have a great week ♥️.

Motivational Monday: His Love for us never stops!

“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God's mercy does not run out on a yearly or seasonal basis—it resets every single morning. No matter how heavy yesterday felt, your past does not dictate what God can do today. Each sunrise brings an unearned, fresh supply of God's patience, compassion, and strength. When your circumstances do not change right away, you can still anchor your soul in the truth that God has not changed. Have a great week ♥️.

Motivational Monday: Entering Into Fall

First day of fall: (Tomorrow) Tues 9/22

Welcome the Season!!!!

Fall is the season associated with harvesting. It is the time to gather the ripe crops from the fields. Like harvesting crops, we need to take time to enjoy the reaping of what we have sown. Take time to look back over your year. How have you grown? Worshiped? Laughed? Instead of seeking to accomplish something new, take time to celebrate what has already been accomplished. Thank God for the abundance in your life—family, friends, church, job, food—the ways God meets your needs daily. Embrace the present. Savor it. Prepare your heart for Thanksgiving with a posture of gratitude for the provisions God has already provided.

Let’s welcome the season of fall with these words from Psalm 95:1-7.

Come, let’s shout joyfully to the Lord,
shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation!
Let’s enter his presence with thanksgiving;
let’s shout triumphantly to him in song.

For the Lord is a great God,
a great King above all gods.
The depths of the earth are in his hand,
and the mountain peaks are his.
The sea is his; he made it.
His hands formed the dry land.

Come, let’s worship and bow down;
let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
the sheep under his care.

Motivational Monday: Are you really His?

“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We often talk about being children of God, but are we really? Paul is talking to the Galatian church and has just told them what the fruits of the spirit are. He also adds that in order to be Christ’s, we have to crucify our flesh. What does that mean? It means that we should continually be denying ourselves of pleasures of the flesh if they don’t align with the instruction God has given us. As children of God, it is important that the life we proclaim, matches the life we live. Being mean and ornery doesn’t covey the love of God. Talking about those that may come to church dressed a little differently than you doesn’t display the love of our Father. Let us always be mindful that we are representing God to the unbeliever and to one another. Have a great week ♥️!
