Pastor Jan Dorval New Beginnings Ministry

Pastor Jan Dorval New Beginnings Ministry Pastor, Evangalist, Daughter of One True King, Ambassador of Jesus Christ to set the captives free!

My Vision is to use all things 'Whole' and 'Healthy' (wellness/fittness) as a tool to help set the captives free and spread the Good News Gospel to the ends of the earth. My Mission is to set the captives free by teaching others how to live their best lives by God's grace and mercy as Spirit led Whole and Healthy Christians so they can go and do likewise.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of

peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Join us as we begin the beautiful book of Ruth—a story of loss, loyalty, redemption, and God's providence.

While Judges ended in darkness and chaos, Ruth reveals God's faithfulness working quietly behind the scenes. Through the lives of Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz, we see that God is always at work, even when we cannot see what He is doing.

In this devotion, we'll explore:
Naomi's journey through grief and loss
 Ruth's remarkable faith and commitment
Boaz as a picture of our Kinsman Redeemer
 God's providence in ordinary circumstances
How redemption is woven throughout the story

Most importantly, Ruth points us to Jesus Christ, our ultimate Redeemer, who rescues us, restores us, and welcomes us into His family.

Join us as we conclude our study through the Book of Judges with one of the darkest and most sobering sections of Scripture.

Judges 19–21 reveals what happens when a nation rejects God's authority and follows its own desires. The repeated theme throughout these chapters is:

"In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit." (Judges 21:25 NIV)

These chapters are difficult to read, but they serve as a powerful warning about the consequences of moral compromise, spiritual decline, and abandoning God's truth.

In this devotion, we'll discuss:
 The tragic events in Gibeah
The devastating effects of sin left unchecked
How compromise spreads through a culture
The dangers of doing what seems right in our own eyes
Why God's truth must remain our foundation

Though these chapters reveal humanity at its worst, they also point us to our need for a righteous King—Jesus Christ.

 Scripture: Judges 19–21 (NIV)

Join us as we continue our journey through the Book of Judges and examine the life of Samson in Judges 13–15.

Samson was set apart by God before birth and empowered by the Holy Spirit for a divine purpose. Yet despite his calling, he continually wrestled with compromise, temptation, and the desires of the flesh. His story reminds us that gifting and anointing are not substitutes for obedience and character.

In this devotion, we'll explore:
The miraculous birth announcement of Samson
God's purpose and calling on his life
The danger of compromise and unchecked desires
The power of the Holy Spirit working through imperfect people
Lessons for believers today about obedience, holiness, and purpose

No matter your past failures, God can still use you when you surrender your life to Him.

 Scripture: Judges 13–15 (NIV)

How far can compromise take a people before they cry out to God again?

In Judges 10–12, Israel falls once more into the cycle of rebellion, oppression, and repentance. They turned toward idols, drifted from God, and suffered the consequences—but God still responded when they cried out.

We also meet Jephthah, whose story reminds us of both courage and the danger of rash words.

 In today’s devotion, we explore:
• The repeating cycle of compromise and spiritual drift
• Why idols always lead to bo***ge
• God’s mercy toward repentant hearts
• The importance of wisdom before speaking or making vows
• How division among God’s people brings painful consequences

What we allow to rule our hearts will eventually shape our lives.

God’s mercy is available—but compromise always carries consequences.

Prayer • Word • Kingdom Truth

If you’ve drifted or grown weary, God still invites you back.

Victory does not guarantee faithfulness.

In Judges 8–9, we see the aftermath of Gideon’s victory and the tragic rise of Abimelek. What begins in deliverance slowly shifts toward pride, compromise, and destructive leadership.

Gideon refused the title of king—but later decisions opened doors that carried painful consequences.

Then comes Abimelek, whose pursuit of power brought violence and division.

 In today’s devotion, we explore:
• The danger of pride after victory
• Why spiritual success must still be guarded with humility
• The warning signs of unhealthy leadership
• How ambition without God leads to destruction
• Remaining faithful after breakthrough and blessing

Victory must be stewarded—or pride can steal what God has done.

Not every leader is sent by God, and not every opportunity should be pursued.

Prayer • Word • Kingdom Truth

Ask God for humility, discernment, and faithfulness in every season.
