Join Us for a Special Mass at Father Millet’s Cross at Fort Niagara this Sunday

You are invited to join the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus this Sunday at 10:30 AM for a special Mass commemorating the anniversary of the historic Father Millet Cross at Fort Niagara.

In 1688, French Jesuit missionary Fr. Pierre Millet erected a large cross at Fort Niagara on Good Friday, offering a symbol of faith and hope to the people stationed there. Nearly 240 years later (100 years ago) the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus erected the bronze cross that stands there today.

The Color Corps will be present for this special Mass, adding to the solemnity and tradition of the occasion. Whether you are a Knight, a parishioner, or simply interested in this remarkable piece of Catholic and Niagara Frontier history, we invite you to join us.
Mass: Sunday at 10:30 AM

Location: Father Millet’s Cross, Fort Niagara
Important: When you arrive at the Fort Niagara entrance, simply tell the gate attendant that you are attending the Father Millet Cross Mass. Admission charges to the Fort will be waived for Mass attendees.

Welcome SPX Holy Name. The confraternity recently celebrated its 750-year anniversary. Vivat Jesus!

ST. PIUS X HOLY NAME SOCIETY is an organization whose objectives are to foster reverence and love for the Holy Name of God and Jesus Christ; to defend the name of Jesus from being used in blasphemy, perjury, profanity and obscene speech.

The Holy Name sponsors bi-annual pancake breakfasts, awards and scholarships; provides support and equipment/resources for Religious Education and Youth Ministry and facilitates a wide variety of parish projects. To join, come to the next meeting on September 15 at 7:00 pm in St. Greg’s Gathering Room 1. Membership is open to all members of Shepherd and Saints Family.
