***VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT***

Phyllis Seward has volunteered at Bread of Life for about 20 years. She is a member of Living Word Outreach, the church that started this ministry 35 years ago. While her daughter was at youth on Tuesday nights, she would come to bag groceries for the next weeks giveaway. Pyllis has loved watching the ministry grow over the years and though serving in many areas, she especially loves being a prayer counselor, ministering to and praying with clients. In her words, "That's the heartbeat of what we do here" She also loves watching the other counselors grow in their walk with the Lord and marvels at how God seems to always put the right client with the right counselor to meet whatever need they're going through that day. We are thankful for her servanthood both at Bread of Life and at her local church where she works quietly behind the scenes to help wherever needed.

"Thank you for all you guys do. I love praying with you. Me and my daughter were facing some struggles, but we kept our faith and kept praying and were able to keep our home and make it through hard times. Thanks to you guys and all the help from above." said BOL client.

Another client said, " Prayed for a job with a BOL counselor and it came to fruition within 3 days of our prayer. Our prayers were answered, and my husband found employment. "Prayer works" Ann said, "Where there are three gathered in my name."

A client prayed last month for help with mowing yard and house repairs. Repairs are happening at this moment with NO cost to them!

Anthony came in with pain from surgery and after prayer, pain level dropped significantly!

After counselor prayed over his family last month, one client said two days later everything was back even better than ever!

We have been praying for Christine's brother who, in treatment, was recently released 2 weeks early for good behavior, 1 year sober, and baptized.

One client said after praying at BOL things change in his life.

Since praying last month for an upcoming procedure, one client said no cancer was found!

After moving to Wichita 2 years ago, one family came to BOL for help with food and prayer. In the last month they have found a home and were blessed with a down payment and first months bills all paid!

One client rededicated his life to the Lord!

Leroy's doctor took him off 2 of his heart meds, and his heart is doing better now. He feels really good and thanks everyone for praying.

Karen got rid of her leg brace and no longer needs surgery.

One lady came in with pain in her back from arthritis and after prayer all pain was gone.

Another woman came in with knee pain and after prayer her pain had lessened.

One client said after praying last month she got an apartment and her and her daughter have repaired their relationship. Praise the Lord!

Cynthia asked for prayers for things to go well for her son at his new job.

Marcella said after prayer her hip pain and issues from heat totally subsided.

"Today I was healed by the power of the Mighty Lord", said one client. "Amen, I am healed".

One client is thanking God for making a way, after being homeless for 2 ½ years, they have now moved into their own apartment.

Last time one client came in, the counselor prayed for healing of knees and hip. After she left all pain was gone.

"Bread of Life has been a lifesaver. Post separation and divorce 11 years ago and mandatory no contact with my 2 sons. I am an Army vet, a survivor of childhood domestic abuse, military sexual trauma (MST), and combat (complex PTSD). I became a Christian believer in March 2024 at age 55. Jesus changed my life!!! I am a federal government employee, was furloughed 4 times in 6 months. Savings paid for rent & utilities. I had no funds for food. Bread of Life sustained me since February 2026. Thank You! Now the Lord has blessed me with a new home, and I can give back the hope and joy you instill in others. Thank you all for being God's hands & feet in this fallen world."

One man that had been prayed for at a previous visit, testified that God healed his knee!

One of our counselors prayed for a woman who still had pain from a recent back surgery. The client started weeping and said she could feel the Lord touching her. God is good!

A lady came in with pain in her hand. After prayer she left with NO pain!
