We are pleased to announce that the Council’s scholarship fund has been renamed the Vince Wesolowsky Scholarship Fund. Vince was the big push behind this fund coming into existence years ago, and we thought it was only fitting that we name it after him. For those of you who are not aware, Vince was the first Grand Knight of our Council. Thank you, Vince, for your commitment to our organization over the years. Checks for our current distribution will be going out soon. For the fall
semester, we are awarding 17 scholarships, one legacy scholarship, two Knights scholarships, and 14 Knights dependents scholarships.

The Blessed Stanley Rother Assembly #3336 at St. Peter-Schulte is hosting a 4th Degree exemplification on Saturday, October 25. If you have been considering acquiring the 4th Degree, this is an excellent opportunity. The 4th Degree is
rooted in Patriotism. Men of the 4th Degree have chosen to embrace Patriotism and embody the fact that one can be a faithful Catholic and a faithful citizen. This is a formal event that lasts most of the day and into the evening. If you are interested in becoming a 4th Degree member, please let one of our board members know and we will help you get registered.

The next blood drive is October 25 from 8AM-2PM in Kocour Hall. We will need 4 persons for set up 6:15-7:45, 4 persons from 8:00-11:00 for sign in, es**rt, canteen, 4 persons from 11:00-2:00 pm for the same and 2 persons for loading and clean up. A total of 15 shifts for a smooth blood drive. Couples are welcome to work together and teenagers can get service hours. We are also in need of blood donors.

Please consider helping this parish-wide event. Staffing the parking lot and helping people find their way in and out has been a task we have managed for several years. We need help on Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with vendors moving in and out of the building, and on Saturday from 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to help patrons get in and out.

We will be assisting the SEAS Ladies with parking Supervision during their Annual Craft Fair Oct. 4. Thanks for your help, I know they appreciate it.

Our Knight of the Month is Chuck Ho**er! Chuck can be found at a variety of Knights events. He is our Vocations Committee coordinator. He does an outstanding job coordinating our council’s efforts at supporting vocations by communicating frequently with our seminarians and sisters going through their education processes for religious life. Chuck also coordinates our annual vocations poster event with the children in our school.

Our Family of the Month is Daniel and Vicki Schrant! Daniel is a Knight. Vicki is a technology educator in our school at SEAS. They are engaged with the scout’s program at SEAS. Daniel has been active in our council, and was an integral part of setting up our Council’s social media platform.

Our Charity of the Month is Harbor House! An element of Catholic Charities, Harbor House provides tremendous support to people experiencing poverty, abuse, homelessness or those living with disabilities. Harbor House provides food, shelter and other basic needs while helping people navigate troubling times. Harbor House reaches across the Diocese to support people, and is an essential element of support in our community.

Join us for quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament on Friday mornings at 5:00 AM in the Adoration Chapel. Being in the presence of our Lord and experiencing His love and grace is truly indescribable.
