Think things slow down around the parish during the summer? Not even close! While many assume we’re on vacation, our staff and vendors are working incredibly hard to make sure the campus is safe, updated, and ready for the new school year.
Just this week, we have:
• Installed a new security system with additional proximity-card readers
• Repaired the Coolidge entrance gate
• Installed a new HVAC system in the library
• Removed old ductwork to prepare for the gym air-conditioning project
• Continued painting all the school hallways
• Prepared for new, stronger, and better-looking wooden classroom doors
• Upgraded our campus network backbone from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps, connecting the school, church, rectory, and new Lord’s Pantry building, while retaining the existing connection as an emergency backup
• Poured a new concrete pad for the air-conditioning condensers
• Continued work on the new Lord’s Pantry building by pouring the concrete drive, installing the electrical lines, and running wiring for security cameras
• Continued renovating the teachers’ lounge
• Begun repairing our bells, clocks, and intercom systems
• Had our sewer lines professionally inspected to identify and prevent potential root intrusion or other problems
• Finished a wonderful week-long Art Camp, generously hosted by Abby Nolla for our youth!
Whew—and that is not even a complete list of our summer projects!
Thank you to our incredible staff and vendors for all of their hard work. We truly appreciate everything you are doing to prepare our parish and school for another great year.
