Seventeen years ago today one of the great men to walk this earth died in the crash of American Airlines flight 587 in Queens, NY.

Rev. Jean Luc Phanord dedicated his life to helping the poor in the bateyes of the Dominican Republic and changed so many lives in the DR and in the US forever.

What was the vision for the poor that the Lord gave Jean Luc? The growth of the Maranatha Church, Hospital El Buen Samaritano, all of the projects in the bateyes, the ministry of his amazing wife and family at the Beraca Church and The Joe Hartman School Project, and so much more.

If you have been to La Romana or supported the work being done there, take a minute and thank the Lord for Jean Luc and his wonderful family!
