We had a great Back to School Blessing last Sunday! Thank you to all who donated school supplies for our local schools and showed up to offer blessings for all in our community going back to school. We're still collecting donations through this Sunday, August 30th. We could especially use more backpacks. And thanks to Kim and Finn for their work organizing the school supplies and getting them ready to be brought to the schools.

Our very own Pastor Heidi Fiore was a part of this important gathering of leaders from across the Northeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church seeking to build connections together in the work of peace and justice building through faith.

This spring and summer, Church and Society Advisory Team leaders convened the first two Jurisdictional Gatherings for Justice and Peace.

We choose weapons of warfare over the higher call of a sacred story, taking children and vulnerable neighbors from their appointed place of significance and safety to be sacrificed as casualties of power, property, and greed..."

Children are suffering around the world. It is our responsibility to feed them and declare preventable suffering unacceptable.
