His marble monument on the Grand Army of the Republic plot stands as a tribute to his courageous service in the Civil War in Company E of the 9th Massachusetts Infantry.

“Francis” will share the powerful story of his time in the Civil War at “Grave Conversations: Pine Hill Cemetery Veterans Speak” THIS Sunday, May 18th!
