Donor Testimony from Malawi:
"One of the greatest blessings of this trip has been connecting with a student that Emma and I sponsor at Bethlehem Christian Academy, a sweet little girl named Anociata.
Before coming to Malawi, we bought her a Tiana doll. When I gave it to her today, I told her that Tiana is a princess and because Anociata belongs to Jesus, she is a princess too because she is the daughter of the King. I told her that every time she plays with that doll, I want her to remember who she is in Christ.
This afternoon, I went with part of our team to minister to some BCA families and take pictures and videos. I had the opportunity to meet Anociata's mother, Longe, and see where they live. She is raising three children on her own, and Anociata is the youngest.
Their home was incredibly small, about half the size of one of our adult Bible study classrooms at church, with a tiny living area and two bedrooms.
It was such a blessing to meet her mother and tell her that she has family in America who loves her and cares for her. I told her that she is our sister, and her children are our nieces and nephews. I showed her a picture of our family and told her that these are your nieces and nephew too.
I also told her that when Emma and I chose to sponsor Anociata, we made a commitment to help care for her. Samson and BCA have faithfully cared for these children daily, and now I am here to support while I am here.
Moments like this are reminders that ministry is not just programs and events. It's people. It's family."
