Today, we remember.

We remember the lives that were lost. The families whose lives were forever changed. The first responders who courageously ran toward danger to serve and protect others.

Even 25 years later, September 11 reminds us of how quickly life can change and how important it is to love the people around us.

Today, I’m praying for every family and every person still carrying the weight of that day.

May we never forget. And may we continue to choose faith, hope, and love in the days ahead.

Jesus Is Our Hope

We all need hope. Life can bring uncertainty, disappointment, loss, and questions we cannot answer. We may try to find hope in our circumstances, our relationships, our success, or simply believing tomorrow will be better. But those things can change. Real hope is found in someone who does not change.

That someone is Jesus. He came because God loves us. Jesus died for our sins and rose again so we could be forgiven and reconciled to God. If you already follow Jesus, you can bring your whole life to Him and trust Him with what you cannot control. If you are not sure what you believe, you can begin with a simple step: talk to Jesus and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. You do not need to have everything figured out before you seek Him.

Today, wherever we are in our journey, we can turn toward Jesus. We can come to Him honestly, ask for His forgiveness, trust in what He has done for us, and begin walking with Him. Jesus is not distant or unreachable. He invites us to come to Him. And in Him, we find a hope that this world cannot give and cannot take away. “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (NKJV)

What do you do when you’ve prayed, but the storm is still there?

Sometimes we expect faith to mean the storm will immediately disappear. But Scripture shows us something deeper. The disciples were with Jesus and still found themselves in a violent storm. Jesus did not promise them a life without storms. He promised them His presence. And sometimes the miracle is not that God removes the storm, but that He carries us through it.

So if you are walking through something you never asked for, don’t confuse God’s silence with His absence. You may not know when the storm will end, but you can know who is with you in it. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV)

What do you do when what you feel doesn’t line up with what you know God has said?

There will be days when you don’t feel hopeful. Fear may be louder than faith, and the questions may seem bigger than the answers. But feelings are not meant to be the foundation of our lives. They are real, but they change. God’s Word does not change. His promises remain true whether we feel strong or weak, confident or uncertain.

So when your heart feels unsettled, stop and come back to what God has said. Open His Word. Remind yourself of His promises. Pray before you react. You may not be able to control how you feel, but you can choose what you will stand on. “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 (NKJV)

Take a moment today and ask God, “What truth from Your Word do I need to hold on to right now?”

What Are You Trying to Fix Yourself?

Have you ever exhausted yourself trying to fix something only God can fix? We want to help God along. We try to control people, circumstances, timing, and outcomes because waiting feels unbearable. But there are things our effort cannot change.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 NKJV. Being still does not mean doing nothing. It means knowing when to stop striving and start trusting. There is a difference between doing your part and trying to do God’s part.

Do what the Lord has asked you to do, then leave room for Him to work. You are not God. You do not have to carry what belongs in His hands.

I’m thankful for the privilege of serving God together. What a gift it is to walk this journey side by side with my wife.
