Have you met Candice yet? She joined the team a couple of weeks ago as our Church Administrative Assistant. Many of you have already been greeted by her warm smile in the front office or by her cheerful voice on the phone. We are so happy to have her on board! Please make sure to say hello and welcome!

This month, Care Services needs simple, ready-to-eat meals. Many of their clients are elderly and need food that is simple to prepare or easy to heat in the microwave. You can bring your donations to one of our two donation carts at the church on Sundays or during the week, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Every Sunday, Pastor Adam closes worship with the same benediction — one he first learned while serving in mobile youth and children's ministry with the Activators during his time at Austin College. Slightly adapted over the years, the heart of it remains: we aren't just dismissed, we're sent. Sent beyond these walls to go be the Church.

Summer has a way of reminding us that rest isn't a reward — it's an invitation. Jesus doesn't say "earn a break." He says come. Whatever you've been carrying through this busy season, you're invited to set it down. Take some time this summer to breathe, recharge, and receive the rest only He can give. 🌿☀️

We have prayed it a hundred times, maybe a thousand — but do we know what we are really saying? The Lord's Prayer began not as a script handed down from on high, but as a response to disciples who were hungry enough for genuine connection with God that they stopped and asked Jesus to show them how. This week, we trace the prayer back to its roots, sit with the question that started it all, and ask ourselves: are we praying at God, or are we truly talking to him? See you Sunday!

We wear RED for Pentecost! 🔴 Seeing a sea of red on Sunday was one of our favorite things — a simple, visible way of saying the Spirit is here and we know it. Thank you for celebrating the birth of the church with us!

We worship a God who knows the cost of sacrifice. On Memorial Day, we hold the names and faces of those who gave their lives — and we trust them to the One who conquered death itself. 🕊
