Pentecost reminds us that Christianity was never meant to be lived powerless.

The same Holy Spirit who descended upon the Apostles in Acts 2 is still active today — transforming hearts, strengthening the Church, and equipping ordinary people for an extraordinary mission.

Before Pentecost, the Apostles were afraid and hiding.
After Pentecost, they preached boldly to the nations.

The Church wasn’t built merely on good ideas or human effort.
She was born through the fire of the Holy Spirit.

And that same Spirit is still calling us to holiness, courage, repentance, and mission today.

Come, Holy Spirit.
Renew Your Church.
Renew our hearts.

Blessings to all on this Feast of St. Joseph! Sharing this post with a beautiful reflection by St. Theresa of Avila.

Happy Feast of St Joseph!
St Teresa of Avila always gave him a special place in Carmel, and even named her first reformed Carmel after him. She saw him as a powerful intercessor and protector, and she often turned to him in her needs.

"I took for my advocate and comforter the glorious Saint Joseph, and commended myself fervently to him... .. I wish I could persuade everyone to be devoted to this glorious saint, because long experience has shown me what wonderful blessings he obtains for us from God. Of all those I have known with a true devotion to Saint Joseph, I have never known any who did not advance in virtue, for he assists in a very special way those souls who place themselves under his protection. " ~ St Teresa of Avila

Always fun to bring back this post from a few years ago to wish St. Patrick's special blessing for all!

Always fun to bring back this post from a few years ago to wish
St. Patrick's special blessing for all!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
"May there always be work for your hands to do,
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine upon your window pane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near to you and
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you."

This morning, Pope Leo XIV was presented with two lambs as part of an ancient Catholic tradition on the feast of St. Agnes of Rome. Under longstanding custom, the lambs’ wool will be used to make the palliums — white woolen bands worn by the pope and metropolitan archbishops as a symbol of pastoral authority and communion with Rome: https://www.osvnews.com/in-a-moment-of-vatican-sweetness-pope-leo-receives-lambs-in-ancient-st-agnes-tradition/

Today is the feast day of St. Agnes, the patron saint of young girls and Girl Scouts. The NCCGSCF has a Models of Faith patch to learn about St. Agnes - you can download the activity sheet at this link

Because she is such a model of being a faithful young girl, Saint Agnes is the Patron Saint ofGirl Scouts. Share with your group or family how Saint Agnes is a good model for at least twoparts of the Girl Scout Law.
