God is present—even in the storm.

This week's readings remind us that God's purposes cannot be undone by betrayal, fear, or the howling wind.

✨ Joseph is betrayed by his own brothers, yet God transforms injustice into redemption.

🌊 Peter steps out of the boat in faith, begins to sink, and discovers that Christ's hand is already reaching for him.

❤️ Paul reminds us that God's Word is not distant or unreachable—it is near us, on our lips and in our hearts, calling us to share the Good News with the world.

Wherever you find yourself today—in uncertainty, in fear, or stepping out in faith—remember that Christ is already reaching toward you.

"Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid." — Matthew 14:27

The collects for the second part of the Season after Pentecost were designed by Tatiana Suggs-Perea. She serves as the director of communications at Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas, where she works to better connect the Southwest community on campus and across the church. She also serves as vice chair on the board of directors for Episcopal Communicators.

We are grateful for the opportunity to join the beautiful women of Ascension. Looking forward to connecting more.
