On April 14, I'm hosting a gathering at Swedenborg House DC for an evening with civil rights leader and musician (and my personal hero) Daryl Davis, marking the release of his book Klan Whisperer.
Daryl’s work is a rare and powerful example of what can happen when we choose conversation over division. Over decades, he has engaged members of the Ku Klux Klan directly, leading many to renounce their beliefs, not through force, but through listening, dignity, and a shared recognition of humanity.
We’ll be in conversation about what it actually takes to build bridges across deep differences and how those lessons connect to my own Cultural Translation work.

Whatever we set for our goals in life is our actual life. Our goals bring everything we think and do to life because they embrace everything we think or do. 🌟✨

So, the nature of our goal determines what our life is like. A goal, or purpose, is nothing but love because the only thing we can adopt as a purpose is something we love. ❤️ Even those who think one way and act another still have something they love as their goal. 💭💪

Within the pretense or deceit lies the goal, which is self-love or materialism, and this is the joy of their life. Accordingly, as anyone can see, the nature of our life reflects the nature of our love. 🌸💖

Every person you meet is deeply loved by God. Let's spread kindness and compassion everywhere we go! 💖✨
