SO WHERE ARE YOU RUNNING FROM?

What if you are running from a place where God has already decided your victory?

What if fear is pushing you away from the very ground where your testimony is waiting?

David didn’t run from Goliath—he ran toward him, knowing God had already gone ahead (1 Samuel 17:45–47).
Joseph didn’t abandon his process—even when it looked like a setback—because purpose was hidden in it (Genesis 50:20).
Ruth stayed in an unfamiliar place, and that same place became her doorway to favor (Ruth 2:12).
Nehemiah refused to come down from the wall, even under pressure (Nehemiah 6:3).
Blind Bartimaeus refused to be silenced until his healing showed up (Mark 10:48–52).

But Elijah… after fire fell from heaven, he still ran from Jezebel (1 Kings 19:3–4).
Victory had already happened, yet fear made him flee.

Be honest—where are you running?

• From a marriage that needs prayer and patience? (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10)
• From children that require consistency and faith? (Proverbs 22:6)
• From a process in your career that is shaping you? (Galatians 6:9)
• From a ministry assignment because opposition showed up? (2 Timothy 1:7)
• From family battles that need wisdom, not withdrawal? (Romans 12:18)
• From a health fight where faith must still speak? (Jeremiah 30:17)

Listen carefully:

God does not only win battles for you—
He wants you PRESENT to witness them.

“The battle is not yours, but God’s… but you must stand and see His salvation.”
(2 Chronicles 20:15–17)

Don’t run from the place where your evidence will appear.

Stay.
Stand.
Trust.
Watch.

Because the victory may already be settled…
But your testimony is waiting for your presence.

So again I ask you—

WHERE ARE YOU RUNNING FROM?

ACROSS THE LAKE

God never promised you a storm-free journey…
but He promised you a safe arrival.

When Jesus said, “Let us go over to the other side” (Mark 4:35), He already settled the outcome.
The storm came, yes.
The wind was real.
The fear was real.
But the destination was never in question.

Listen carefully—
If God told you to get into that boat,
He already made provision for your arrival.

So why are you doubting now?

Because it’s slow?
Because it’s hard?
Because it’s not adding up?
Because it doesn’t look like what you expected?

That doesn’t mean you missed God.
Sometimes, you are in the middle of obedience—not error.

Isaiah 43:2 — “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you…”
Not IF. WHEN.

The waters will come.
But they will not swallow you.

Think about it:
• Joseph had a dream… but went through the pit and prison before the palace.
• David was anointed… but still ran for his life before the throne.
• Paul was in God’s will… yet faced a violent storm (Acts 27)—the ship broke, but he survived.

So the storm is not your end.
It is part of your crossing.

Maybe right now:
You started that job God led you into—but it feels draining.
You obeyed God—but the results are slow.
You invested time, prayer, money—but nothing looks like progress.
It feels like you’re just… drifting.

But hear this:

Philippians 1:6 — “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”

God does not start journeys He cannot finish.
He does not lead you halfway and abandon you.
He does not put you in a boat to drown you.

Across the lake still means ACROSS.

Not stuck.
Not destroyed.
Not forgotten.
Not swallowed.

Across.

So don’t let the storm make you forget the instruction.
Don’t let delay cancel what God told you.
Don’t let your feelings override His voice.

Go back to what He said.
Hold on to it.
Renew your belief in it.

Because if He said it—
He will do it. (Numbers 23:19)

*You will not sink.
* You will not be swallowed.
*You will arrive.

Your Response Matters More Than Your Situation

There are moments when God asks questions—not because He needs information, but because He wants to reveal something deeper: your mindset.

Jesus once asked a man, “Do you want to get well?” (John 5:6).
It was a simple yes-or-no question.

But instead of answering directly, the man began to explain his situation—how no one helped him, how others always got ahead of him. He focused on everything that wasn’t working.

In another moment, Jesus asked Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people?” (John 6:5).
Again, a simple question.

Philip didn’t answer simply. He started calculating costs, explaining why it wouldn’t be enough. He focused on limitations.

And if we’re honest, we do the same thing every day.

We’re asked what we want, and we start talking about what didn’t work before.
We see an opportunity, and we immediately list all the reasons it might fail.
We pray, but instead of expressing faith, we repeat our problems over and over.

But God is not looking for long explanations.

He’s not asking you to prove how difficult your situation is.
He already knows.

What He’s looking for is your response—clear, intentional, and aligned.

A better response is simple:

“Yes, I want to be better.”
“I believe this can work.”
“I’m ready.”
“God, I trust You.”

This is where the shift happens in everyday life.

When someone asks what you want—be clear.
When an opportunity shows up—don’t talk yourself out of it.
When you pray—focus on what you believe, not just what’s wrong.

At the end of the day, your situation may not change immediately—but your response determines your direction.

Because your response reveals your mindset,
and your mindset determines what you’re ready to receive.

So when God asks you a question—through His Word, through a moment, or even through a situation—

Don’t answer with fear.
Answer with faith.

He Saw You Under the Fig Tree

John 1:48 (KJV)
“Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw.

Nathanael thought he was alone.

He had been sitting quietly under a fig tree—thinking, reflecting, perhaps even questioning a whole bunch.

Yet when he came to Jesus, the Lord said something unexpected:

“When you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Jesus revealed something powerful in that moment. He had seen Nathanael before they ever met.
He had heard his words.
He knew his thoughts.
He understood what was happening inside his heart.

Nathanael was shocked, because he suddenly realized that nothing about him was hidden from God.
This is applicable to all of us.
God sees us under our own “fig trees”—
in the quiet places,in the moments of doubt,in the silent prayers we whisper when no one else is around.

He sees our intentions. He hears our thoughts. He knows the good days and the difficult ones.

And in every moment He is reminding us:

“I see you.
I hear you.
I know you.
And I am with you.”

The God who saw Nathanael under the fig tree still sees you today.

Treasures in the Dark

“Don’t walk away too quickly. Your treasure may be hidden inside what looks difficult.”

is a reminder that not every difficult season is meant to be escaped immediately. Sometimes the very situation that feels uncomfortable is where God is shaping, revealing, or preparing something valuable for you.

What it Means Spiritually

In many cases, people abandon a situation as soon as it becomes hard—whether it is a challenge in life, a responsibility, a calling, or even a season of waiting. But the message suggests that difficulty does not always mean something is wrong. Sometimes it simply means there is something deeper to discover.

This aligns with Book of Isaiah 45:3, where God promises:

“I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places.”

The verse suggests that valuable things are sometimes hidden in places that do not initially look promising.

Biblical Illustration

Think about Joseph in the Book of Genesis.
When Joseph was imprisoned, it looked like his life had taken a wrong turn. Many people would have assumed that prison was the end of his story. But while he was there, Joseph interpreted dreams, and that very moment became the connection that eventually brought him before Pharaoh and positioned him for leadership.

If Joseph had given up in that difficult place, the opportunity that was hidden in that season might never have been revealed.

Practical Life Meaning

In everyday life, this idea can apply to many areas:
• A challenging assignment that eventually builds your capacity.
• A season of waiting that prepares you for something greater.
• A problem that forces creativity, revealing a solution you would never have discovered otherwise.

The key message is not that hardship should be embraced blindly, but rather that discernment is needed before abandoning a situation. Sometimes what looks like an obstacle may actually contain growth, insight, or opportunity that only becomes visible if you stay long enough to uncover it.

Simple Takeaway

Before walking away from something because it feels difficult, pause and ask:

“Is there something here I am meant to learn, discover, or uncover?”

Because occasionally, what appears to be a hard rock may be the very place where the treasure is hidden.

GUIDE YOUR PILLARS: YOUR DESTINY

“And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood… and he bowed himself with all his might.” – Judges 16:29–30 (KJV)

There is something powerful about pillars.

In the story of Samson, he did not fight blindly. In his final moment, he asked to be led to the pillars — the very structures holding everything up. He understood something profound: If you touch the pillars, you touch the destiny of the structure. The enemy understands pillars too. That is why sometimes attacks don’t come directly at your title, your success, or your visible blessing. They come quietly at what holds you up.

Your prayer life.
Your marriage.
Your health.
Your integrity.
Your trusted covenant relationships.
Your discipline.
Your obedience to God.

If those collapse, the structure collapses.

What Are Your Pillars?

Many people crash at the peak because they never identified what was holding them up.

You may say:
I was doing well in my career until something happened.”My children were thriving before this issue came.”
We were strong as a family until this crack appeared.”I was at the verge of breakthrough and everything scattered.”

Many people say, “Everything was going well until this happened,” or “We were strong before something shifted.” Often, it was not the blessing that was attacked but the foundation beneath it. Pillars are rarely glamorous. They are quiet habits, private convictions, consistent disciplines, and unseen sacrifices. Because they are not flashy, they are sometimes neglected or casually exposed.

It may be:
The discipline of early morning prayer.
The voice of accountability in your life.
• A spiritual covering.
• Financial wisdom.
• Emotional stability.
• Your altar.
• A habit of silence and discernment.

Once the enemy identifies it, the pressure begins.
Exposure vs. Protection

Look at Joseph.

Joseph had a pillar — his prophetic destiny. But in his enthusiasm, he exposed too much too early. He shared dreams with those not ready to protect them.

Contrast that with Mary.

The Bible says, “Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.” (Luke 2:19). She carried the greatest pillar — the Messiah — yet she guarded it.
Even when Jesus had all power, there was still a season of concealment.
Even divinity respected timing.

Not everything revealed is meant to be broadcast. Some pillars must mature in quiet.

Guard What Guards You

Guard what guards you. We secure our finances and protect our passwords, yet sometimes we leave our peace, our homes, our spiritual altars, and our values unprotected. A neglected altar weakens discernment. A neglected marriage weakens legacy. An undisciplined mind weakens vision. The danger is not that opposition exists; the danger is that pillars are left unattended.

Ask Yourself Today

Today, it is worth asking: what keeps me standing when everything shakes? What do I fall back on in crisis? What has God quietly built into my life that must not be mishandled? ho or what strengthens my structure? Who or what strengthens my structure? Have I exposed something that should be nurtured privately? If you do not know your pillars, ask the Lord to reveal them. Sometimes they are simple routines, sometimes they are relationships, Sometimes they are convictions you almost compromised. sometimes they are instructions you nearly ignored

When the enemy comes looking,
may he find pillars that are guarded, strengthened, and sealed. In Jesus name

REND THE HEAVENS

Isaiah 64:1 (KJV)
“Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.”

There are seasons when polite prayer is not enough.

There are moments when you are tired of managing what only God can move.
Tired of negotiating with mountains.
Tired of adjusting to delays.
Tired of functioning under what feels like a closed heaven.

Isaiah did not say, “Lord, help us cope.”
He cried, “Rend the heavens!”

To rend means to tear open.

Not slightly open.
Not partially open.
Tear it.

When God rends the heavens:

• Mountains melt.
• Systems shift.
• Long-standing delays break.
• Identity is affirmed.
• Power is released.

When the heavens opened over Jesus (Mark 1:10), destiny was announced.
When heaven opened in Acts 2, ordinary men became carriers of fire.

You don’t need another strategy.
You need Presence.

Some mountains will not move because you’re strong.
They move because He shows up.

Tonight, this is the cry:

Abba Father,
Tear open every invisible ceiling over my life.
Come down into my situation.
Let what has stood against me begin to flow at Your presence.

I refuse to live under a closed heaven.
Mountains must melt.

Engage yourself with things or people that inspire you to walk with the Lord.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed (Proverb 13:20).

This is an obvious truth about people and things, you engage in such as what you read, the type of music you listen to, your choices of entertainment and places you like to be. Find people and environments that inspire you to move closer to the Lord. That may require you to say no to some things you probably enjoy and to some people who hinder your intimacy with Christ.

At times the most relevant person to spend time with is yourself. It means, being a-l-o-n-e! You need some time to yourself to pray, reconnect with God, listen for His voice, and sort your life out. When you are constantly bombarded with people and unedifying media, it could be challenging to hear God and to make the right decision. A-L-O-N-E with God!

If you’re a music listener, keep a playlist of those songs that inspire, motivate, or seem to draw you back to God. Music is a powerful force and has a significant spiritual impact.
