Last week, Inspire took guests to Cambridge, England, where we paid our respects to the brave heroes who perished in World War 2, and are buried in Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial. Along the Wall of the Missing, over 5,100 names are inscribed, adding to the over 3,800 who are buried on these grounds. With teary eyes, awe, and grateful hearts, we were once again reminded of the brave sacrifice so many have made to preserve freedom.

If you’ve ever read the Bible in English, you’re reading something William Tyndale gave his life to make possible.

Tyndale was educated at Oxford and Cambridge, and spoke seven languages. He could have done anything. He chose to translate the New Testament into English so that “a boy that drives the plough” would know the Scriptures.
In his day, it was illegal. It cost him his life. His final prayer was, “Lord! Open the King of England’s eyes.”
Three years later, his prayer was answered. Under King Henry VIII, the Bible was authorized in English – built largely on Tyndale’s work.

The words he gave us are still referenced today:
“Let there be light.”
“A still small voice.”
“The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
“My brother’s keeper.”

We walk guests right up to a 1552 print of his Bible on the fourth floor of Museum of the Bible. Come see what many have died to preserve and gain a new appreciation for the English Bible.

The New Testament writers did not treat Noah as myth or metaphor. They pointed to him as history, and as faith worth remembering.

Our guests have been sharing the kindest words about their tours, their guides, and the moments that surprised them at the Ark Encounter. Here are a few, in their own words:

"Extremely good! Our guide gave us breaks, and we had prayer at the beginning and the end of the tour. Would definitely come back again." -Kennedy C.

"Great tour! Very good overview, as well as some interesting details we would never have known on our own. Our tour guide was a delight and an expert." -Eric T.

"Well worth the money to have everything explained so well. Our guide did a wonderful job and brought real passion." -Christian T.

For years, skeptics said the Old Testament had been edited so much we couldn’t know what it originally said.
Then the Great Isaiah Scroll was found – the most thoroughly preserved book among the Dead Sea Scrolls that speaks so clearly about the coming Messiah. And it was written about 1,000 years earlier than any complete copy we’d ever had!
Scholars compared it to the Hebrew text we have today. Isaiah 53 contains 166 words, and the only difference was seventeen letters. Mostly spelling. None changed the meaning.
Within 18 months, Israel became a nation again. In the same window, the Hebrew people recovered their oldest copy of their own Scripture.
We walk guests right up to a copy on the fourth floor of Museum of the Bible – a favorite stop on every Inspire guided tour.
