Title: The hope of Believers who died.
(1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18) Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death,so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
The Thessalonians were worried about their fellow believers who died in the Lord, what will happen to them when Christ returns. Paul made effort to explain to them that death is not the end of life or the final destination, though it is an inevitable ending. The return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is our hope of glory. The great hope of all the believers is in the resurrection. Jesus Christ died and resurrected, likewise to us. When a believer in the Lord dies, they are considered to be sleeping because when Christ shall return they will resurrect to put on immortal body. So all believers who are dead and including those who are yet to die, will resurrect again, Amen.!!
We do not need to grieve when our loved once die, or when there is catastrophic events that caused some believers to die. God will turn tragedy to triumph, poverty to riches, pain to glory, and defeat to victory. All the believers in the whole world will be United in God’s presence, no fear no sorrow with divine security. As Paul comforted the Thessalonians with the promise of the resurrection, let us continue to comfort and reassure each other with this great hope. After all the believers unite again, in the presence of God. There will be no more death, no more pain, no more suffering forever. Amen.
All the believers in the Lord should use this passage of the Bible to understand what happens after death and also this will help us to have faith in God and get ready for the return of our Lord Jesus. His second coming is not going to favor everyone, but only those who are truly born again . ( Hebrews 9:27-28) And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement: So Christ was once offered to bear sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Beloved, what is your hope if death comes today, or Christ returns tonight? Where will you spend eternity? Do not think that there is still time . There is no negotiation with God after death. No bribery and there is no partiality there. Christ may appear tonight and are we ready? God bless you.
Prayers: Oh Lord, forgive me of all my sins. Help me to surrender my life to you in Jesus name. Help my faith to grow to the level you want it in Jesus name. Help me Lord to be ready for your second coming. Sanctify me and help me to be ready for your second coming in Jesus name.
