The standoff with Iran is entering a decisive moment. Military preparations across the region are accelerating, diplomatic negotiations continue under intense pressure, and unrest inside Iran is once again challenging the regime from within. The coming weeks may determine whether the current crisis moves toward a negotiated outcome or a far more dangerous regional confrontation.

The situation surrounding Iran has entered a deeply volatile phase. Three dynamics are unfolding simultaneously. There is high level United States and Israeli military and strategic coordination. There is an active but fragile diplomatic track. And there are renewed signs of internal unrest inside Iran that could reshape the regime’s decision making overnight.

This is not only about the possibility of war. It is also about the Iranian people themselves, who continue to fight for basic rights and freedoms after decades under an Islamic Republic rooted in coercive rule and enforced Sharia law.

Tu B'Shvat is often called, the "New Year of the Trees," but for me, and for many Zionists, it is much more than an environmental holiday. Tu B'Shvat is a reminder that the Jewish peoples' connection to the Land of Israel is ancient, physical, and unbreakable. It is a holiday that speaks directly to who we are as an indigenous people and to our responsibility toward our homeland.

Tu B'Shvat is often called, the "New Year of the Trees," but for me, and for many Zionists, it is much more than an environmental holiday.
