Change your words ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
YOU ARE EATING THE FRUIT OF YOUR MOUTH
This morning, as I was praying, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “you are eating the fruit of your mouth."
Immediately my mind went to Proverbs 18:21, “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."
Every word is a seed.
Every declaration is a planting.
Every confession is watering something.
You are either cultivating life or nurturing death with the words that leave your mouth.
Many are asking, "Why is everything around me in turmoil? Why does it feel like chaos follows me? Why do I keep ending up in the same place?"
And the Holy Spirit is asking a question in return,
"What have you been saying?"
What have you been speaking over your marriage?
What have you been speaking over your children?
What have you been speaking over your church?
What have you been speaking over your future?
What have you been speaking over yourself?
Because eventually you will sit down and eat from the harvest of the seeds your words have planted.
Some people curse what God is trying to bless.
Some people tear down with their mouths what Heaven is trying to build.
Some people spend more time agreeing with hell than they do agreeing with God.
Every day they rehearse defeat.
Every day they magnify problems.
Every day they prophesy disaster.
Every day they complain about what God has given them.
Then they wonder why the fruit is bitter.
The Israelites are one of the greatest examples of this principle.
God brought them out of Egypt with signs, wonders, miracles, and demonstrations of His power.
He split seas for them.
He fed them from Heaven. He brought water from rocks.
He led them with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night.
Yet what came out of their mouths?
Complaining.
Murmuring.
Doubt.
Unbelief.
Every obstacle became an excuse to grumble.
Every challenge became a reason to question God.
And what should have been a short journey became forty years of wandering.
They literally spoke themselves into circles.
Think about that.
The promised land was in front of them, but their mouths kept pulling them back into the wilderness.
How many generations have been scattered because of unchecked tongues?
How many destinies have been delayed because of words of unbelief?
How many marriages have been poisoned because criticism flowed more freely than blessing?
How many churches have been hindered because gossip was allowed to spread like wildfire?
Your words carry weight.
Your words frame atmospheres.
Your words establish agreement.
Your words reveal what kingdom you are partnering with.
I am not talking about some powerless positive thinking message.
I am talking about biblical truth.
Words matter.
What comes out of your mouth reveals what is ruling your heart.
Jesus said, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."
Your mouth is often exposing what your spirit has been feeding on.
If all that comes out is fear, perhaps fear has become your meditation.
If all that comes out is bitterness, perhaps bitterness has found a place to live.
If all that comes out is hopelessness, perhaps you've been listening to the wrong voice.
But today the Holy Spirit is calling His people higher.
It is time to stop magnifying giants.
It is time to stop prophesying failure over situations God is still working in.
It is time to stop cursing your tomorrow with the words of your today.
Speak life!
Speak blessing over your children.
Speak blessing over your spouse.
Speak blessing over your church.
Speak blessing over your future.
Speak blessing over your own soul.
David didn't wait for someone else to encourage him, he said, "Bless the Lord, O my soul."
Sometimes you've got to preach to yourself until your spirit comes into agreement with Heaven.
If you don't like the fruit, change the root.
Don't just ask God to change the harvest.
Let Him transform the seed.
Let Him purify the heart.
Let Him renew the mind.
Let Him sanctify the tongue.
Because when the root changes, the fruit follows.
The days of wandering are ending for those who will align their mouths with God's Word.
The days of murmuring are giving way to days of declaration.
The days of complaint are giving way to days of praise.
And those who begin speaking life will soon discover that life is beginning to spring up all around them.
Watch your words.
Guard your tongue.
Agree with Heaven.
Because whether you realize it or not, you are eating the fruit of your mouth.
