I wrote verse on this sticky note probably 6 or so years ago... I was going through hell in a hand basket at the time and needed a constant visual reminder that what I was going through was spiritual. What I didn't realize was that I was entering a season of development, refining, revelation that would change my life forever. The amount of correction, maturity, revelation, and understanding I have experienced in this time was necessary for where God was/is taking me. I know now His plans were already set in motion back then for the prayer call being held today. And I can look back and see how the enemy tried to stop it but what he meant for evil, God has used for good. HALLELUJAH!!

If you find yourself in a similar place where everything seems to be going haywire, remember this verse. And remember that God is on the move on your behalf as well as those you cry out to Him for. Some of your names are called out in prayer and you don't even know it. And so are some of your loved ones. If you need prayer, send me a message. What goes on in the prayer room, goes up to heaven. And if you feel like joining, come on! We'll leave the light on for ya! (Some of yall will get that later 😉)

What a sweet and precious time the prayer calls have been!!

If you would like to join us, please do! It is a safe place to ask for prayer, lift up others in prayer, and suggest special requests such as specific prayer for an extended period and fasting. If Holy Spirit prompts you in something, this is the place to bring it. And if you're unable to attend for whatever reason, please share your prayer requests with me and I will be happy to lift them up to the Father.

Oil was never meant to replace obedience.
And it was never meant to function without authority.

Anointing oil is not magic. It is a biblical point of contact that responds to alignment, obedience, and command. When people say, “I anointed everything and nothing changed,” the issue is rarely the oil, it’s the posture behind it.

Scripture is clear: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” - James 1:22

Oil activates what you are already submitted to.
It does not bypass disobedience.
It does not override passivity.
And it does not move atmospheres when authority is never enforced.

This is why some believers anoint their homes, marriages, and minds and the atmosphere remains unchanged. They applied oil, but they never took their position.

Jesus didn’t tell us to hope darkness leaves. He told us to command it.

“Behold, I give you authority… over all the power of the enemy.” - Luke 10:19

The oil doesn’t carry the power.
The believer does.

When oil meets obedience, heaven responds.
When oil meets authority, atmospheres shift.
When oil meets alignment, demons move.

But when oil is used as a ritual instead of a weapon, it stays symbolic.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders… anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.” - James 5:14

Notice the order.. authority, obedience, then oil.

I declare that you are a lamp and you will burn for the whole world to see. Your oil will not run out. You will overflow with the joy of the Lord. You will overflow in anointing - healing and deliverance will come forth from you. God is pleased to use you.

Someone needs to hear this today, the alabaster jar had to break so the oil could flow.

There is a breaking God allows that isn’t punishment—it’s permission.

Permission for the oil inside you to finally be released.

Permission for what has been locked up, capped tight, hidden behind the hardness of past seasons to finally pour out at the feet of Jesus.

The jar didn’t crack because it was weak.

It broke because it was full.

And heaven said, “Now is the time for the fragrance to fill the room.”

Some of you have been holding on to the jar- your strength, your image, your plans, your control- because you believed the jar was the valuable part.

But the treasure was never the jar.

The treasure is the oil.

And the only way for the oil to saturate the atmosphere is for the jar to shatter.

You’ve been asking, “Lord, why does this hurt so much?”

And I hear the Lord saying, “Because I am bringing forth what you prayed for.”

You asked for anointing—did you think it would come without crushing?

You asked for power—did you think it would come without fire?

You asked for purity—did you think it would come without refinement?

There are depths of glory that can only be reached through the pressing.

There are realms of authority that can only be accessed through crushing.

There are fragrances of worship that can only be released through fire.

Surrender often comes through breaking.

The woman with the alabaster jar didn’t pour out a measured amount.

She didn’t calculate the cost.

She didn’t preserve a portion for herself.

She broke what held the oil, because she understood that brokenness in the presence of Jesus is never waste; it is worship.

God is breaking what has held you back so He can release what He has put within you.

He is refining you not to wound you, but to reveal you.

This fire is mercy.

This pressing is the doorway to overflow.

This breaking didn’t weaken you, it weaponized you.

And the mantle that is now upon you carries the weight of your crushing and the fragrance of your surrender.
