The Ministerial Association will host its annual National Day of Prayer service on Thursday, May 7, noon, on the north side of the Wapakoneta Fire Station. In the event of bad weather, the event will be moved to St. Paul United Church of Christ (Perry and Mechanic streets). During the brief service, representatives of local congregations and organizations will pray for those who serve our community in various capacities. The public is welcome to attend.

The annual Wednesday Noon Lenten services, organized by the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association (WAMA) will conclude on April 1 with a service held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for April 1 is “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Pastor Doug Pretorius and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will host the service and meal.

The annual Wednesday Noon Lenten services, organized by the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association (WAMA) will continue on March 18. All services are held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for March 18 is “Blessed are the merciful,” with Deacon Marty Brown, the congregation of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Glynnwood, and the Wapakoneta YMCA as hosts.

Lunch and a time of fellowship will follow each half-hour service. The Noon Lenten services are free and open to the public; all are very welcome. Free will donations will be accepted.

The annual Wednesday Noon Lenten services continue on March 11. All services are held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for March 11 is "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness….," with the service presented by Pastor Lorenzo Thomas and First English Lutheran Church. Lunch and a time of fellowship follow each half-hour service. The Noon Lenten services are free and open to the public; all are welcome.

The annual Wednesday Noon Lenten services, organized by the Ministerial Association (WAMA) will continue on March 4. All services are held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for March 4 is “Blessed are the meek,” with Pastor Phil Jarrells, Salem United Methodist Church, the Thanksgiving Dinner Committee, and friends as hosts. All services are held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for February 25 is “Blessed are those who mourn…,” with Pastor Paul Bomeli and the congregation of St. Paul United Church of Christ as hosts.

The annual Wednesday Noon Lenten services, organized by the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association (WAMA), will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 18. All services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Pearl street. The theme for the 2026 services is “The Beatitudes: Attitudes of the Heart, Personally and Communally.” Ash Wednesday’s theme is “Blessed are the poor in spirit….”
Lunch and a time of fellowship will follow each half-hour service. The Noon Lenten services are free and open to the public; all are very welcome. Free will donations will be accepted for WAMA’s Voucher Program and for Servants Day.
Those attending the service may enter the church from the west (parking lot) entrance, north (Pearl Street) entrance, or east (Perry Street) entrance. The Blackhoof Street entrance into the parking lot will be closed, and cars should access the parking lot from Benton Street, not Pearl Street.
