Archbishop Henning will ordain five men to the Priesthood this Saturday, May 16 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. The Ordination Mass begins at 10 AM. One of the men to be ordained is Deacon Johnathan Saniuk who served as a seminarian at St. Mary's in the summer of 2022. Congratulations to these holy men. May they be blessed in their Priesthood. SCHOOL COMMITTEE PRIORITIES
With all the challenges and problems facing the School Committee regarding Waltham High School, one might think they would be laser focused on fixing the problems. Apparently not. At the recent April 8th Meeting, a member requested a discussion on whether to get rid of the Judeo Christian school holidays next year. When asked if this included all of the religious holidays “including Christmas and Yom Kippur" the answer was yes. This will mean that students, teachers and staff will be forced to attend school on Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, Good Friday and Christmas. I think voters need to wake up. It’s no wonder states like Massachusetts are declining in population. Next they will be discussing whether to have school on Saturdays and Sundays since these are also important days for Jews and Christians.

Archbishop Henning will celebrate the Funeral Mass for Fr. Roger Cormier at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 17th at St. Mary's Parish Waltham. Fr. Cormier was a son of St. Pierre School, St. Joseph Parish and St. Mary's High School. We encourage people to come to the Holy Mass and pray for his soul.
