The mission of this group, which is comprised of more than 20 Christian denominations, is "Seeking justice for God's planet and God's people." Registration is now open for the Province VIII Creation Care Conference, to be held on September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Episcopal Retreat and Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

"Join us as we gather to renew, repair, and restore our relationship to God’s creation." You’ll leave this conference equipped to:

** Take practical climate action in your congregation
** Lead ministries rooted in creation care and spiritual formation
** Contribute to The Episcopal Church’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030
** Build relationships with others doing this work across the church

The dynamic speaker line-up includes Rev. Dr. Lisa Graumlich, founding Dean of the University of Washington's College of the Environment; Forrest S. Cuch, an enrolled member of the Ute Indian Tribe and a part of Jane Goodall’s Legacy Foundation; Rev. Jazzy Bostock, a kanaka maoli Episcopal priest from Hawaii; Eric Balken, Executive Director of the Glen Canyon Institute; and our very own Rev. Payton Hoegh, an active Green Caucus leader and Program Director for the Center for Spirituality in Nature.

Join Bexley-Seabury Seminary's next class of student-cohorts in its Climate Justice and Spiritual Resilience Certificate program, starting on August 2, 2026 on Zoom. Registration deadline is August 1, 2026.

The mission of this popular program is "to equip current and future Christian leaders with the theological grounding, practical skills, and spiritual resilience necessary for effective climate justice ministry in an era of ecological crisis and environmental racism."

Four talented, highly experienced Episcopal leaders in Climate Justice ministries designed and teach all courses, including Rev. Stephanie McDyre Johnson and Dr. Delia Heck.

An Episcopal Creation Care Gathering will be held in Ohio on September 23 to 26, 2026, Wednesday to Saturday, at the beautiful Procter Center, an Episcopal farm, camp, and retreat center on 1,200 lush acres in the Diocese of Southern Ohio.

"Come join in conversation with those steeped in prayer, theology, the wild outdoors, agriculture, and the front lines of pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, and land use. Take time to wander over the acres of the Proctor Center. Come ready to put your feet on the ground and get your hands dirty while contemplating the goodness of the earth and the wonders of creation, and listening to the Holy Spirit’s call to action!" The keynote presenter will be the Rt. Rev. Cathleen Chittenden Bascom, founder of the Episcopal Grasslands Network, based in Kansas.

Various lodging options are available, and range in cost from $534 to $294 per person for rooms, and $255 for a tent site. This cost includes meals, which can be tailored to your dietary needs.

From Episcopal News Service comes an inspiring story of a Michigan church that uses a sustainable, non-chemical solution to maintain their messy eleven acres of land. "... St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Romeo, Michigan, hired a herd of goats to munch on poison ivy, honeysuckle, shrubs, vines, thorns and other plants that have colonized its nearly 11-acre property.

"The sustainable land clearing project is a collaboration between St. Paul’s, Green Space Romeo, Lake St. Clair Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, and Michigoat, a Southeast Michigan-based business that rents goats. The long-term goal is to repurpose the underused property into a community green space."
