From Glory to Glory

Scripture Reading:
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)

Devotional Thought

As believers, God never intended for us to remain spiritually stagnant. The Christian journey is one of continual growth, transformation, and maturity. The Apostle Paul reminds us that as we keep our eyes on Christ, the Holy Spirit changes us “from glory to glory.”

Yesterday’s victories are blessings, but God has more for us today. Every season, every trial, every act of obedience, and every lesson learned is preparing us for the next level of spiritual growth. Just as a plant grows from seed to maturity, we are being shaped into the image of Christ.

Moving from glory to glory does not mean a life without challenges. Rather, it means that through every circumstance, God is refining our faith, strengthening our character, and drawing us closer to Himself. The more we surrender to Him, the more His glory is reflected in our lives.

Let us not become comfortable where we are. Instead, let us seek God daily, allowing His Spirit to lead us forward into the fullness of His purpose.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for Your transforming power in our lives. Thank You for not leaving us where we were, but for continually molding us into the likeness of Your Son. Help us to grow in faith, obedience, and love. Teach us to trust You through every season and to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.

As we journey from glory to glory, may Your Holy Spirit guide us, strengthen us, and fill us with Your presence. Let our lives reflect Your goodness and bring honor to Your name.

Keep us faithful until the day of Christ’s return, and help us to walk worthy of the calling You have placed upon us.

In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.

Thought for Today:
God is not finished with us yet. As we walk with Him, He continues to lead us from glory to glory. ✨🙏🏾

🌿SCP DAILY DEVOTION

Theme: Marinated but Not Cooked

Scripture: James 1:22 (KJV)

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

Devotional Thought:

Many of us know that marinating is an important part of preparing food. The seasoning penetrates the meat, adding flavor and beginning the preparation process. However, marinating is not the final step. No matter how well seasoned the meat may be, it must still be cooked before it is ready.

The same can happen in our Christian walk. We can attend church faithfully, read our Bibles, participate in prayer meetings, and even be baptized. These are all important parts of our spiritual journey. Yet God desires more than outward participation. He desires inward transformation.

Some believers have been marinated in the things of God for years but have become complacent and comfortable. We know the Scriptures, sing the hymns, and understand the language of faith, but the Lord is calling us deeper. He wants us to be led by the Holy Ghost, walking in obedience and allowing Him to shape our lives daily.

The Christian life is not simply about what we know; it is about who we are becoming in Christ. As we prepare for the soon return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we must allow the Holy Spirit to complete His work in us.

Today, let us ask ourselves: Are we merely marinated, or are we allowing God to transform us into the people He has called us to be?

Additional Scriptures:

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

Galatians 5:25 (KJV)
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Titus 2:13 (KJV)
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word and for the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Forgive us when we become complacent in our walk with You. Help us not to be hearers only, but doers of Your Word. Transform our hearts, strengthen our faith, and teach us to walk in obedience. Prepare us for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and may our lives bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.🙏🏾

Thought for Today:

Marinating is not the final step. God is not only calling us to be surrounded by His Word but to be transformed by His Spirit as we prepare for His coming.

Scars Can Be Permanent or Temporary

📖Scripture:
“And he shewed them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.” — John 20:20 (KJV)

Devotional Thought

Scars can be permanent or temporary. Some scars on our bodies may fade over time, while others remain with us for life. The same can be true of the wounds we experience in our hearts. Disappointments, losses, betrayals, illnesses, and seasons of grief can leave marks that are not easily forgotten.

Yet scars tell a story. They remind us that there was a wound, but they also testify that healing has taken place. After His resurrection, Jesus still bore the scars in His hands and side. Those scars were not signs of defeat but of victory. They were evidence of the price He paid for our salvation and the triumph He won over death.

As believers, we may carry scars from past trials. Some may fade with time, while others may remain as lifelong reminders of God’s sustaining grace. Whether temporary or permanent, our scars do not define us—God’s faithfulness does. He can use every scar as a testimony of His healing, strength, and mercy.

Today, instead of hiding our scars, let us thank God for bringing us through the wounds that caused them. What once caused pain can become a witness of God’s power and grace in our lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being with us through every wound, trial, and season of pain. Help us to see our scars not as signs of defeat but as reminders of Your faithfulness. Heal the wounds that still ache, strengthen us where we are weak, and use our testimony to encourage others. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.🙏🏾

Thought for Today

Our scars may remind us of where we have been, but God’s grace reminds us of how far He has brought us.
