Our blessed statues are back in the church and look beautiful. Thank you to Jeannie and Ron Larson for your wonderful work to restore them.

The church renovations are coming along well. As of this week, the altar area is nearly complete with gold being applied to the white altars. The walls and ceilings in the sanctuary are nearly done as
well. The area around the organ is also done.

Next steps will be to finish the sacristy and the altar server room. When this is complete, we will ask the flooring company to lay the flooring on the altar.

The contractor hopes to be done by the first week in April, but we will see.

The pews are taking longer than expected because the wood on the backs is so brittle it continues to crack. They are now replacing the backs instead of repairing them. To further complicate it, the penitentiary is under lock down so currently no work is being done.

Work on the statues is progressing and the statue of Jesus is nearly complete.

To date four pews have been finished at Pheasantland Industries.

Reich Painting will be on site January 13 to start plaster repairs.

The Irene-Wakonda BBB team put in a little community service on Saturday. They helped move the pews at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wakonda for their remodel. Great team work boys!!
