Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hope For The Broken Hearted This page was founded by Debbie Kay. This page replaces her old page. With God's help, I have overcome many challenges in life.

Her original page, Hope For The Broken Hearted, founded in 2010, with over 1.3 million followers, was hijacked, posts deleted & someone is using her page name & posting content there. My name is Debbie Kay, and I am a Christian author whose calling is to comfort people who are hurting. I know what it is like to be overwhelmed with sadness and grief and to have a heart so broken and battered, you d

on't know how you can possibly survive the pain. I also have experienced the wonder of having my pain and grief turned to joy, by a loving and caring Savior. As the mother of a son with special needs and as someone with multiple auto-immune disorders, I have learned how to research to find resources and answers to help cope with illness and disabilities . In addition to being an author, I am certified in Grief Recovery and trained as a Life Coach with specialties in Stress Management, Health and Wellness Coaching, Hope Coaching, Marriage Mentoring, and Divorce Recovery. Here is my mission statement: We all, with the utmost certainty, will encounter adversity in this life. It is through the storms of life that our faith is tested, our fortitude challenged, and genuine trust in God realized. It's in the dark days that we learn that the Bible is more than just a collection of stories written by ancient people. We find out the truth about our Lord's character, the wisdom behind His words and the depths of His unfathomable love for us. It is when we are overwhelmed with despair that we gain firsthand knowledge of the verse, "when I am weak, He is strong." (2 Cor 12:10) We have a loving, Abba Father, a "Spiritual Daddy," who understands our pain, who grieves with His children through our sadness, and encourages us to soldier on... not by ourselves, but with His divine help. We find our hope in the One who always has a plan, whether we can see it or not. His plan is always for our good (Jeremiah. 29:11). My heart's desire is to encourage others to press on even when they can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I want to share what I've learned from personal experience — that life does go on, even after deep, life-altering losses. God hears our cries, He knows our pain, and He challenges us to trust when it makes no earthly sense to. The Lord redeems, renews, and carries us when our strength fails us. I want the brokenhearted to know that God can and will turn our mourning to joy, IF we let Him work in us. He longs for us to come to Him with the shattered, broken pieces of our hearts. He wants to make us whole again, and to restore us to the fullness of His joy. Your life course may be altered due to circumstances beyond your control, but that doesn't mean the new path won't still end at a glorious destination. As a follower of Jesus, we can rest assured, as it says in Romans 8:28, that all things work together for our good to those who love Him.

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today...

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for waking us this morning to see a new day. Father, you know we barely open our eyes each morning before we hear and see new disturbing things that impact us all. We have never needed your wisdom and discernment more than we need it now.

You tell us in Your Word that joyful is the person who finds wisdom and gains understanding...that wisdom is more profitable than silver, better than gold, and more precious than rubies...that nothing we desire compares to your wisdom...that your wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace it.

Father, you promise to give your wisdom to all who seek it and all who put their trust in you. We humbly come to you now and ask you to grant us Your wisdom and to lead and guide us. Please guard our hearts and minds. Help us be wise and discerning in all of our ways.

You tell us not to forsake wisdom, for it will protect us, and to seek your wisdom and not turn away from it. We don't want to be led astray or caught off guard, Father. We desire to be wise and discerning so we can hear your voice and know the truth from lies. The Bible tells us that we shouldn't lose sight of common sense and discernment, for they will refresh our souls, keep us safe, and help us not to stumble or fall into the snares of the enemy. You know our desire to protect those we love and guide our lives and households in your ways and truth.

You tell us you will instruct us in the ways of wisdom and lead us along straight paths...when we walk, our steps will not be hampered, and when we run, we will not stumble... to hold onto your instruction and guard it well, for it leads to life. Please keep us close to you so we can do these things. Please fill us with your Spirit and keep us on the straight and narrow path that leads to you. May your will be done in us and through us. We are grateful for your protection, provision, and that we can ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Praying blessings over you and your week, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We want to begin this day and week by centering ourselves on you. We ask you to be the light that guides us and the rudder that steadies our course. Help us remember, on the demanding and stressful days, that it is your strength that courses through our very being, and there is not one thing that can come against us…not one thing we will face that we cannot deal with and overcome with your help.

Please help us remember we are under your protection, not under our circumstances...that we are more than what we are going through and more than what has happened to us. We are new creatures redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb. Thank you for the Holy Spirit, the Great Helper, whom you sent to dwell with us, teach us in all things, convict us, help us remember all that you've said, and guide us in truth. We are thankful that what you ask us to do, you equip us for.

Please help us this week to focus on all that we have, all that you are, and all that is possible because of Jesus, our risen Savior. Please help us remember we are to be meek, but we are not wimps. We are to be gentle, but the Lion of Judah roars within us. Please help us speak your truth in love, and may all we say and do glorify you. We commit our plans, hopes, dreams, and all that concerns us to your hands and ask not our will but yours be done. We love you, Abba Father. Thank you for your goodness, grace, and mercy, and for loving us so well. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you and your week, friends!

In His love,
Debbie
