Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hope For The Broken Hearted This page was founded by Debbie Kay. This page replaces her old page. With God's help, I have overcome many challenges in life.

Her original page, Hope For The Broken Hearted, founded in 2010, with over 1.3 million followers, was hijacked, posts deleted & someone is using her page name & posting content there. My name is Debbie Kay, and I am a Christian author whose calling is to comfort people who are hurting. I know what it is like to be overwhelmed with sadness and grief and to have a heart so broken and battered, you d

on't know how you can possibly survive the pain. I also have experienced the wonder of having my pain and grief turned to joy, by a loving and caring Savior. As the mother of a son with special needs and as someone with multiple auto-immune disorders, I have learned how to research to find resources and answers to help cope with illness and disabilities . In addition to being an author, I am certified in Grief Recovery and trained as a Life Coach with specialties in Stress Management, Health and Wellness Coaching, Hope Coaching, Marriage Mentoring, and Divorce Recovery. Here is my mission statement: We all, with the utmost certainty, will encounter adversity in this life. It is through the storms of life that our faith is tested, our fortitude challenged, and genuine trust in God realized. It's in the dark days that we learn that the Bible is more than just a collection of stories written by ancient people. We find out the truth about our Lord's character, the wisdom behind His words and the depths of His unfathomable love for us. It is when we are overwhelmed with despair that we gain firsthand knowledge of the verse, "when I am weak, He is strong." (2 Cor 12:10) We have a loving, Abba Father, a "Spiritual Daddy," who understands our pain, who grieves with His children through our sadness, and encourages us to soldier on... not by ourselves, but with His divine help. We find our hope in the One who always has a plan, whether we can see it or not. His plan is always for our good (Jeremiah. 29:11). My heart's desire is to encourage others to press on even when they can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I want to share what I've learned from personal experience — that life does go on, even after deep, life-altering losses. God hears our cries, He knows our pain, and He challenges us to trust when it makes no earthly sense to. The Lord redeems, renews, and carries us when our strength fails us. I want the brokenhearted to know that God can and will turn our mourning to joy, IF we let Him work in us. He longs for us to come to Him with the shattered, broken pieces of our hearts. He wants to make us whole again, and to restore us to the fullness of His joy. Your life course may be altered due to circumstances beyond your control, but that doesn't mean the new path won't still end at a glorious destination. As a follower of Jesus, we can rest assured, as it says in Romans 8:28, that all things work together for our good to those who love Him.

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today...

Dear Lord,

You are Emmanuel, God who is with us…you are with us in our physical pain…in our loneliness…in our sorrow…in our times of uncertainty…you feel our sadness and brokenness…you feel our fear and anxiety…you understand each sigh and know every thought and emotion we are unable to put into words...

You tell us when we are weary and when we feel weighed down with burdens, to come to you, and you will give us rest. We come to you today, and we lay everything before you. We give you our troubled relationships… our financial needs… our illnesses, injuries, disabilities, and physical pain…we give you our grief…we give you all of our concerns for our loved ones and friends and all the things they are dealing with…we pray for all the troubling things we see and hear about that are going on in our world and around us... We give you our racing thoughts, all of our stress, and all the things that steal our joy, laughter, and peace and rob us of sleep at night.

Thank you for being our place of refuge and safety... thank you for your comfort. You are the silver lining in every dark cloud... the calm in the midst of our storms... the source of hope that sustains us and the light that guides us. Thank you for your grace and mercy and for being everything that we need.

Take our lives, Lord… please heal and replenish every area in our lives that is depleted and in need of a touch from you. Help us to walk in submission and obedience to your will... please fill us with your Holy Spirit and show us anything in our lives that might be hindering our prayers or is displeasing to you. Help us to live with eternity in mind and to make the most of this day. We love you, Lord, and we are so very grateful to be held by you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

This world can be such a dark place. Our enemy works best under cover of darkness …secret sins, abuse hidden behind closed doors… hurtful words spewed from unseen people behind computer screens…hidden wounds and hurts, covered up lies and buried truth…these are all tools of the enemy to corrupt, oppress and try to upend your will and what you intend in our lives and for the world...but your light dispels the darkness. The darkness is not dark to you, and all it takes is one flicker of light to cast off the darkness.

Please transform us by the renewing of our minds and by the work of your Holy Spirit in our lives. May we be changed to be more like Jesus by immersing ourselves in your Word and by spending time in your presence. May your light within us heal us, renew us, and redeem us, so we shine bright with Jesus.

Your Word says to let our light shine so people can see our good works and glorify you. We all have a sphere of influence…we aren’t all called to do big things, but we can all do little things with your love that will have a ripple effect, not just here, but throughout eternity. Help us to overcome evil with good. Help us to be encouragers and prayer warriors. May we be known for Christ’s love flowing through us and by our good deeds that glorify you. May we be known for showing kindness, compassion, grace, and mercy. May we be people of integrity and honor. While others complain, help us be motivated to pray. When others put people down and gossip, may we be known for lifting people up. Where there is hopelessness, let us speak of the hope you offer. Where there is hatred and discord, help us to be peacemakers. May no unwholesome talk come from us. Help us be people set apart for your good purposes.

This world is full of so much negativity… help us be the ones who seek out the good and share it. May people see in us the reason we have hope amid adversity. Help us to live what we say we believe. May people see that we have your peace during times of difficulty and loss. Create in us a clean heart and help us to continually be dying to ourselves so that more of you shines forth from us. Life is so short… time is so short… help us not to waste time on things that are not of you and have no lasting importance. May our words, actions, and who we are as people have eternal significance for your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love and service,
Debbie
