Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hope For The Broken Hearted This page was founded by Debbie Kay. This page replaces her old page. With God's help, I have overcome many challenges in life.

Her original page, Hope For The Broken Hearted, founded in 2010, with over 1.3 million followers, was hijacked, posts deleted & someone is using her page name & posting content there. My name is Debbie Kay, and I am a Christian author whose calling is to comfort people who are hurting. I know what it is like to be overwhelmed with sadness and grief and to have a heart so broken and battered, you d

on't know how you can possibly survive the pain. I also have experienced the wonder of having my pain and grief turned to joy, by a loving and caring Savior. As the mother of a son with special needs and as someone with multiple auto-immune disorders, I have learned how to research to find resources and answers to help cope with illness and disabilities . In addition to being an author, I am certified in Grief Recovery and trained as a Life Coach with specialties in Stress Management, Health and Wellness Coaching, Hope Coaching, Marriage Mentoring, and Divorce Recovery. Here is my mission statement: We all, with the utmost certainty, will encounter adversity in this life. It is through the storms of life that our faith is tested, our fortitude challenged, and genuine trust in God realized. It's in the dark days that we learn that the Bible is more than just a collection of stories written by ancient people. We find out the truth about our Lord's character, the wisdom behind His words and the depths of His unfathomable love for us. It is when we are overwhelmed with despair that we gain firsthand knowledge of the verse, "when I am weak, He is strong." (2 Cor 12:10) We have a loving, Abba Father, a "Spiritual Daddy," who understands our pain, who grieves with His children through our sadness, and encourages us to soldier on... not by ourselves, but with His divine help. We find our hope in the One who always has a plan, whether we can see it or not. His plan is always for our good (Jeremiah. 29:11). My heart's desire is to encourage others to press on even when they can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I want to share what I've learned from personal experience — that life does go on, even after deep, life-altering losses. God hears our cries, He knows our pain, and He challenges us to trust when it makes no earthly sense to. The Lord redeems, renews, and carries us when our strength fails us. I want the brokenhearted to know that God can and will turn our mourning to joy, IF we let Him work in us. He longs for us to come to Him with the shattered, broken pieces of our hearts. He wants to make us whole again, and to restore us to the fullness of His joy. Your life course may be altered due to circumstances beyond your control, but that doesn't mean the new path won't still end at a glorious destination. As a follower of Jesus, we can rest assured, as it says in Romans 8:28, that all things work together for our good to those who love Him.

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You don’t expect us to sugarcoat things or wear a fake, perpetual smile because we are your children... it would be unnatural for us not to be concerned when we see bad things happening. You tell us to grieve with those who grieve...that there is a time to mourn. You don’t tell us not to be angry. You tell us not to let our anger lead to sin.

Please help us navigate the mixed emotions we deal with as we navigate life's challenges, losses, and changes. Please protect our hearts and minds from being overwhelmed. Please help us learn and put into practice what we need to know to take care of ourselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically... and then trust you with the things only you can do. Please help us sleep well so we can remain healthy in every way. Please help us feed our minds good, uplifting thoughts and make healthy choices in every area of our lives.

Please help us learn to let go of things we are helpless to change... we can’t change people or make them do the right things... we can’t make people see what they don’t want to see or hear what they don’t want to hear... we can’t make people see their need for you, but we can plant seeds of truth and pray to you, the One who can do all things.

We commit our burdens and cares to you and ask that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We commit our lives and all that concerns us to your capable hands. Please help us live each day full of faith and trust in you. So much is happening in life that is not good, but you are always good and worthy of praise. Thank you, Abba Father, for holding us, sustaining us, and being with us all of our days. Thank you for being our El Shaddai, The Mighty God, and All-Sufficient Father who never sleeps our slumbers and holds us and all of creation in your mighty, righteous hands. We give you all praise, glory, and honor. In the precious name of our Savior Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May God bless you and give you many reasons to smile today!

In His love,
Debbie

Hello Friends! Here is today's prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

It's hard to believe we have reached the beginning of a new season again. The days are passing so swiftly. Thank you for all you have seen us through this year. We know there is a time and a season for all things, and every season is needed and necessary. For the last several years, we've just had one hard season after another. We ask that this new season be one of rest and refreshment so we can renew our strength. We pray that the seeds that have been planted within us during these hard seasons will mature us and bring forth good fruit for your glory.

Father, we ask for your favor and blessings to be upon those we love. We humble ourselves before you and ask for your divine intervention for the battles raging in our world. Please heal our land. We pray our thoughts will be your thoughts and that we will please you in all our ways.

We thank you in advance for your provision, mercy, and grace that will sustain us in all that lies ahead. We are grateful that in you, there is the newness of life and the possibilities of things that are more miraculous than our minds can begin to comprehend. Help us be open to your leading and all the ways you want to work in and through us. We dedicate our lives and all you've entrusted to us into your hands. Please bless the fruit of our labors, take what little we have to offer, and multiply it for good. Please help us draw closer to you each day and become more like Jesus. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May this new season bring you much joy and many blessings!

In His love,
Debbie
