Will you join us in praying for the three men preparing for ordination to the transitional diaconate and the priesthood?
We invite you to join us in prayer for a Novena for Vocations May 20-29. Each day we'll share a special intention for you to pray for. Follow along here and lift Matthew Harris, Andrew Mullaney and Deacon Alexander Leschisin up in prayer with us, that they may be strengthened in their vocation and joyfully serve Christ and his Church.

The Ascension is not an ending—it’s a sending.

Christ entrusts His disciples with a mission to all nations, with the promise to remain always.

That mission continues today—and we are part of it.

Have you heard about the apparitions of Our Lady to the children of Fátima? It is a remarkable story worth learning about!
On this day in 1917, Our Lady appeared to Sts. Jacinta and Francisco and their cousin, Servant of God Sr. Lucia of Fátima, for the first time.
During this apparition, Our Lady instructed them to devote themselves to the Holy Trinity and to pray the Rosary everyday. Like the children of Fátima, may we, too, devote ourselves to praying the Rosary daily, to the Holy Trinity and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
There's so much more to the story. You can read more about these apparitions and Mary's requests to the children in the article below.

Want to celebrate today's feast in your home? Consider lighting candles, wear blue, make a simple spiritual bouquet of prayers for Mary, or bring flowers to a statue of Our Lady in your home or parish.
Our Lady of Fátima, pray for us!

Do you struggle to believe Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist? Are you wondering how you can really believe the Eucharist is the true flesh of Jesus and not just a symbol? Tim Staples explains how you can be certain the Eucharist is the flesh of Jesus and reveals how receiving Holy Communion is a deeply intimate moment.

Struggling to accept the Eucharist as a Lutheran convert? Understand the Catholic belief in the true presence of Christ in the bread and wine.

Pray for these men! ⁣ Would you pray for the three men preparing for ordination to our diocese later this month? ⁣ On Thursday, May 28, Matthew Harris and Andrew Mullaney will be ordained to the transitional diaconate. On Friday, May 29, Deacon Alexander Leschisin will be ordained to the priesthood. ⁣ Both ordinations will take place at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph at 11 a.m. and will be livestreamed on the diocesan YouTube channel (Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls). ⁣ Pray for them these next few weeks as they prepare for and anticipate their ordination, and pray that God may bless them with abundant graces.

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!
On this special day honoring mothers, we celebrate the incredible gift of motherhood which shapes the future of our families, Church and world. As we celebrate mothers, let us look to our Blessed Mother, who perfectly exemplifies discipleship, humility, maternal love and unwavering faith.
May God bless all mothers with many graces as you raise and guide the next generation of saints.
