Dear AVA Cowboy Church Family,

After much prayer and reflection, we believe this is the right time to close this chapter of our Cowboy Church at AVA. While this news is difficult, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible community that has grown here.
AVA’s Cowboy Church was built on your faith, your kindness, your willingness to show up, and your love for one another. Every prayer, every gathering, every act of service, and every shared moment has shaped something truly special.

We’ve laughed together, worshiped together, learned together, and leaned on each other. What was created here was more than a “church”. It was a family. I’m grateful for every volunteer, every supporter, and every friend who helped contribute to this ministry.

Endings are never easy, and this one is bittersweet. But I believe the spirit of AVA Cowboy Church will live on in the lives we’ve touched and the faith we carry forward. Thank you for your grace, your patience, your prayers, and your trust. And if we ever fell short, I ask your forgiveness.

For those who are still seeking a church community to call home, we encourage you to check out Vanceboro GMC: https://vanceborogmc.org. Many of us from Cowboy Church call VGMC home. It’s a welcoming, faith-filled congregation, and we’d love to have you!

As we are called into new seasons, may we carry with us the love and community that defined our time together. God’s work doesn’t end here… it continues in all of us.

We hate to do this again, but we have decided to cancel our service this afternoon. The weather isn’t in our favor once again.

Howdy, friends!

As much as we hate to do this, we have decided to cancel our Cowboy Church service for tonight. The weather does not seem to be in our favor.

Please like and follow our page for future updates and event information.

For those without a home church, please visit www.vanceborogmc.org and consider joining us on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. This group is extremely welcoming. Most of us who attend Cowboy Church consider VGMC our home church.

Again, we will miss everyone! See you all in September, and have a fabulous and safe summer!

As of right now, we are still on for Cowboy Church tomorrow!

With the random chance of storms tomorrow afternoon, we will NOT be renting a tent. And the forecast is calling for heat - whopping 91°! We will have tables and chairs, but if you would like to bring a pop-up tent for some shade, please feel free.

Please follow this page tomorrow for the status of our service. We will be watching the afternoon forecast closely!

We are keeping a close eye on the weather for Saturday evening's Cowboy Church service. Right now, there is a 50% chance of thunderstorms. We will make the decision about having a tent for the service later tonight. We'll also make a decision about having the service based on the forecast closer to time!

We are less than a month away from our next Cowboy Church! A lot of our usual people that help put this on will be away on a mission trip to Nicaragua with the Pearl Foundation. Even though the faces might look different, we will still enjoy the same wonderful food and fellowship!
