This is an exciting week, as APCE transitions its website to a whole new platform! There will be some new features and many ways that the whole website will better serve our members and friends. As you probably know, such changes are not always seamless, and there may be some bumps along the way. Please be patient with us as we work with the professionals to optimize the site. Our Plenary Speaker for the Annual Event, January 27-30, 2027, in Portland, OR is...

Patrick Reyes!

We are so excited to be joined by Rev. Dr. Patrick Reyes, during plenary he will be asking and answering the questions: "Can these bones live?" Who taught you they could?
In his own words, he says, "we will not study the dry bones from a safe distance. We will move through them the way children learn the deepest things, through play. Come ready to participate. We will walk the four movements of Ezekiel's vision, breath, sinews, flesh, and spirit, through embodiment, art, and sound. You will make something. You will move. You will likely surprise yourself.
This is not a lecture about resurrection. It is practice for it."

Who among us couldn't use some resurrection?
Make plans to join us January 27-30, 2027 in Portland, Oregon. You can find hotel information in our stories and on a separate post on this page, or our website. It is not too early to book your room!

Already planning on joining us? Let us know in the comments! 🙋‍♀️⤵️

Who else is preaching at the 2027 APCE Annual Event? Meet our Day Three and Four preachers below!

On Day Three, as we explore Flesh: What does it mean that being present with people is life-giving? And what does it have to do with faith formation?
Rev. Chris Dela Cruz will talk about the power of being "in the flesh" and how it can impact our ministry, especially in a time of isolation, division, and AI.

On Day Four, as we explore Spirit: What makes us come alive?, Kevin Nye will help us dive into deeper understandings of the Spirit by leaning on his background of working with people who experience homelessness. Together, we will explore what it means to truly live, what makes us come alive, and how we find abundant life by seeking it for one another.

Join us January 27–30, 2027, in Portland, Oregon, or online, as we ask:
