Please pray for the next few days as we have three opportunities for ministry:

1.) Saturday AM- We are taking a team from our church to do an evangelism event in a local park. Please pray for many great encounters with people.

2.) Sunday AM- I'll be ministering the Word at ICCR in Taguatinga. Please pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit and that God will have His way.

3.) Monday- We head to a city about five hours away called Uberlandia. I'll be speaking to a group of ministers there. Please pray for safe travels and that the meeting will be blessed.

We had a great service last Sunday with Pastor Cisero and the congregation of ICCR (Igreja Cristã de Confissão Reformada) in Gama. A good friend Marlon, translated the message for me. I spoke about the need for all of us to remove distractions from our lives that keep us from pursuing God. You could sense the presence of God as we sought His face at the end of the message. Afterwards, we were invited to eat churrasco and some traditional dishes from the Northeast of Brazil. It was a great time of fellowship. The students of Pure Life Ministries came to the service and I had some time to talk to them and pray for them. It was a blessed morning. Thanks to all who prayed for the service!

Please pray for this Sunday's service. I'll be ministering at Familias Benditas in Vicente Pires. It's Pentecost Sunday, so I'll be ministering on the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Please pray that God will have His way, that people will be touched and filled by the Holy Spirit and that the Lord will move in a powerful way through the preaching and altar ministry. Last Thursday, we took our first team out to the streets from Familias Benditas. We were encouraged that so many from the church had a desire to go out and evangelize. For some, it was the first time they had done something like this. We had our Romans Road cards translated into Portuguese and printed and a sign made that reads, "Free Snacks and Prayer." We split into two groups. One stayed with me by a bus stop and another setup close to a grocery store. Teams went out into the park, to the local stores and the streets to offer free food and prayer. Many people received prayer and we had opportunity to share the Gospel and encourage many to seek the Lord and fully surrender to Him.

Several conversations stuck out to our team. I talked to a young man who was a nominal Christian. He felt that talking to God once in awhile was enough. I shared my personal story of being distant from God and told Him that the Lord is pursuing Him and wants his whole heart. One of our team members prayed for a lady who was experiencing demonic influence in her life. As they prayed, she began to experience demonic manifestations. We pray that the Lord touched her that night and that she found freedom. One team prayed for a person whose vehicle wouldn't start, and the vehicle started up after they prayed!

We were so encouraged for our first outreach. Many of the teens also joined us and had a great experience. Thanks to all who prayed for this event. Many seeds of the Gospel were sown. Please continue to pray for everyone we came into contact with on the streets of Brasilia.

Last Sunday, I was invited to speak at a gathering of pastors and church leaders for the Assembleia de Deus Independente network in Samambaia. I always enjoy the opportunities I have to speak to leaders, because I know that so much of what happens in churches is impacted by the spiritual health of those who lead. I shared my testimony and some practical wisdom that I learned about how to lead in a healthy way and avoid the pitfalls that are so prevalent in church ministry. Afterwards, several came forward to receive prayer for strength and empowerment for ministry. It was a blessed morning. Thanks to all who prayed for it!

Please pray for the service tomorrow. I'll be ministering at ICCR in their morning service. The message will be about pursuing God's presence. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will anoint the message, as well as the translation. We are believing for God to move in a special way. Thanks in advance for praying!

Tomorrow night (Thursday), we will take out a team from our church here in Vicente Pires, Familias Benditas. We are going to do something similar to our snack cart ministry, but in a Brazilian way. We will be getting some bakery snacks and drinks, setting up a table close to a busy park, and serving people, praying for their needs and sharing the love of Jesus. Please keep this outreach in prayer. We want to see God touch the lives of those we come into contact with. Thanks in advance for praying!

It was a blessing to be asked to speak for the Imago Dei Bible Study at Familias Benditas Church last Wednesday. The week's topic was Christian character. I shared about the importance of discipleship, how God uses hardships to forge character in our lives and we talked about several passages that describe the type of character Christians are expected to develop. At the end, each table shared with one another about an area in their lives they need God to develop and we closed praying for one another. It was a great night. Thanks for all who prayed!
