We had a very special night together with our friends at Pastora Solange's home a couple of weeks before we left Brazil. She invited people to come and enjoy a time of thanksgiving for all that the Lord is doing. It began with intimate worship and prayer. Then, we went around the circle and everyone shared testimonies of God's work and intervention in our lives. I shared a short message about being intentional in expressing our gratitude to the Lord on a regular basis. We prayed and people spontaneously thanked Him for various blessings in their lives. It was a powerful time and the presence of God was there in such a sweet way. We were so thankful that we had this time to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is a special memory that we will treasure. God is worthy to be praised!

We are very excited that our ministry partner in the Netherlands is working on the Dutch translation of The Crucified Lifestyle. It has been amazing to see how God is using this book in different countries around the world. Please pray for the translation process of "Het gekruisigde leven alss levensstijl" as it gets closer to final production.

Our last service with our Famílias Benditas Church family was very special. Abigail and Claire led the song "Give Me Jesus" in English and Portuguese before I preached. I shared a message about going deeper with God from the story of Simon Peter's calling into discipleship. At the end, many people came forward as a response to the Lord that they want to go deeper in their walk with Him. It was a powerful time of ministry. Then the church gathered around us to pray over us. It was deeply touching and we were so grateful to be ministered to by them.

Afterwards, the church had a surprise going away party for us. They made some posters and had some treats for us to enjoy. There were many tears as we said "see you soon" to these close friends. It was bittersweet, but we know we will see them again in a few months. Afterwards, many people from the church joined us to enjoy a meal at our favorite hamburger place in town.

Such is the life of a missionary family. We feel are hearts are now in two places. However, as one of our good Brazilian friends commented, we are doubly blessed to have two countries, two churches, two sets of friends and two places to minister. Thanks for all who are continuing to pray for our family. God has been so good to us!

Please keep this Sunday's service in prayer. I'll be ministering at Pure Life Ministries' Residential Chapel. The Lord gave me a message about the cross that I believe will be a real blessing to the men in the program. Please pray that each of them will have an open heart and that God will accomplish what only He can in the service. Thanks in advance for praying!

Our final evangelistic outreach before we left Brazil was a fantastic success. We had a large team from our church join us to share God's love in the local market in our part of the city. We had chocolates wrapped with an invite to the church. We sent teams out into the crowded market to offer the chocolates, pray for needs, and share testimonies and the Gospel.

There were so many stories that came from that day. One group happened to stumble upon two men who were in a conversation about the existence of God. One man felt their timing was evidence that the Lord was revealing Himself in that moment. We ministered to many workers in the market, people who were digging through the trash and customers from all backgrounds. We met one man who had a radical testimony of how God had delivered him from drugs and he shared his story with us through tears. Only God knows the impact from that day, but many seeds of the Gospel were sown into the lives we encountered, to the glory of God!

The evangelism team in Brasilia will continue while we are in the United States. Everyone agreed that we had great momentum and it was important to keep it going. Thanks to all who prayed for the outreach. Please continue to pray for the evangelism team from Famílias Benditas Comunidade Cristã. God is moving in Vicente Pires, Brazil!

We took a team from our church back to the streets of Ceilândia for an outreach last month. It was an intense night. Our church did a collection and we were able to purchase over sixty blankets to give out because people on the streets were asking for them on our previous outreach as the winter nights were cold. Some ladies in the church also cooked a huge pot of soup to distribute. We ministered to many people, sharing testimonies, explaining the Gospel, handing out Romans Road cards and believing God to touch their lives.

One woman in particular came to us and was very high and drunk. As our team ministered to her, a demon began to manifest. Some of the team were surprised when the demon responded to my English prayer even though the woman spoke Portuguese. We prayed for her and tried to cast the demon out. However, her drunken state made it very difficult to communicate with her. After we finished ministering, she made a comment that it was one of the best days of her life, however, none of us had the sense that she had gotten free. It was a challenging situation, yet a reminder to all of us that we are in a very real spiritual battle and the devil is playing for keeps.

Something interesting that we experienced is that two of us including myself got an intense headache when we ministered to her. Another man on our team said before anything happened, he felt his legs get weak underneath him when he walked by this woman. It is so sad to see people who have allowed the enemy a place in their lives, yet Jesus is in the business of destroying the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). Please pray for this woman as well as for all of the people who received Gospel seeds that night. Pray they will produce fruit for the glory of God.

Thanks to all who prayed for the outreach. Your prayer covering was so important to us that night.

I'm really grateful for the opportunity I had to minister to the young men and women at Famílias Benditas Comunidade Cristã. We began with a discussion about the assignment worksheet I had given them the week before about how to be more evangelistic in their schools. Several shared about how God had used that week to open their eyes to the needs of other students.

I then shared a message about developing a relationship with the Holy Spirit. At the end, we gathered together for prayer. I felt led to ask if any of them wanted to dedicate their lives to Christ. Four young men stepped into the circle and we prayed with them to surrender to Christ. Thank God for their boldness to respond. Please pray that the seeds of the Gospel will take root. Thanks to all who prayed for this ministry opportunity. God is moving in the lives of the next generation!

I had an opportunity to minister to the students at Pure Life Brazil one more time before we headed to the US. It was a special time together. I shared a message from Psalm 51 and talked about several important principles regarding repentance. It has been a blessing to be more involved with this class of students than previous years because we were in Brazil for so long. God has been working in these men, and I look forward to seeing what their future entails. Afterwards, we had a time of prayer and the Holy Spirit moved. It was sad to say goodbye, but I'm grateful for the time I was able to spend with the students this year. Thanks to all who prayed for the chapel service. God was so faithful!
