As the summer comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to thank the many different churches, organizations, and schools that took time out of their busy schedules to help us in our pursuit of changing lives in Akron Ohio. Thank you to all who have supported us throughout the summer months!

As of last week, the 3 garden teams have amassed over 1,000 pounds of produce!

All of these wonderful herbs, vegetables and fruits will be utilized here in our kitchen to help feed our clients, and the surplus will be distributed to our local partners.

For the 17th consecutive year, we are partnering with 6 local Chick-Fil-A franchises to gather canned goods that will go towards feeding the unhoused population of Akron, Ohio!

Between 11 am to 7:00pm on Thursday, August 6th, bring in 2 cans of food to receive a free BREAKFAST sandwich!

On Fridays, the Menā€™s recovery program went through a series of workshops focused on vulnerability, accountability, and scripture.

Centered on biblical principles and self improvement, these classes are designed for the men to discuss overcoming their struggles, how to find peace & clarity to the challenges they face, and help them understand how they are made new in Godā€™s love and refuge.

The mission of this organization is to teach environmentally sound, research-based horticultural practices and promote gardening for the citizens of Summit County under the auspices of tOSU extension.
