Our Spring Bunny, Mr Harold was shy! Thank you Harold and Rita Johnson for helping at our Flowood Work Center Family Day a few weeks ago! The children loved Mr Harold. Also, the FBC Richland Sunday morning, Callahan Bible Group, provided candy for Harold and Rita to give out. It is all about Reaching Out to talk about Jesus.

Let’s Pour Into Someone’s Life
“All around you are people whose lives are filled with trouble and sorrow, and they need your compassion and encouragement.” —Billy Graham

One of the best ways to re-energize your own life is to focus on someone else’s. Is there a young person in your life in need of a mentor? Approach him or her about being that person. Are there people in your family or neighborhood you don’t normally spend time with? Reach out and invite them to a meal or activity with you.

You might also consider serving your church or community in some way—even if it’s for a short period of time or something you can do from home.

The Bible says even Jesus Christ “came not to be served but to serve” (Matthew 20:28). Serving is a great way not only to live out your faith, but to to meet and impact new people, and improve the places around you. You may discover a new talent or hobby while you’re at it.

Ministry Moments: All my life I've heard "Mary, Mary quiet contrary how does your garden grow?" On other occasions it would be "Mary had a little lamb." Yesterday, I received an awesome lamb for my desk. This made me think of the scripture, John 1:29, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." Jesus is that Lamb of God. The Lamb that was born in Bethlehem and died on the cross should have our attention for worship and praise. I'm so glad I found my Lamb, not at school or church but through someone mentoring me in the Word.

You can not do it all. Jesus did not do it all. Do make sure you pray and study your Bible. When your friend is having heart surgery, pray immediately after you hear about it. When a missionary shares her requests, pray right on the spot for them. Don’t let the moment pass you by. Pray a short prayer. Trust God for the results. Jesus didn’t do it all. Jesus didn’t meet every need. He left people waiting in line to be healed. He hid away to pray. He got tired. He did not try to do it all. And yet, he did everything God asked him to do. Reaching UP and Reaching OUT!

Mary Moments: My Flowood Experiencing God class is on Unit 5 & 6 God speaks. I’ve studied it many times but wow, I got it! We are the Body of Christ. “God created the church as His redemptive agent in the world. He has a purpose for the church. God places every member in a church to accomplish His redemptive purposes through the members.” The body builds itself up until every member experiences the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:13). God made us mutually interdependent. We need one another. What one lacks, others in the body can supply! It is essential to let God use you in the church. The local church is to function like a body. It is not part of a body. Ask God to help you understand what part of the body He’s placed you in. You can Reach UP and reach OUT in the body of Christ!

We are sad to say, Linda Hurstell joined her husband in heaven this morning. For those that remember, Mac, he was our beloved GED math teacher that drown in the ocean on Labor Day 2016. The cake was Mac’s first birthday in heaven and our students let balloons go in the sky. Now, Linda is there with all her loved ones. She ran the race and won. Cancer did not win! Please pray for her family.
