This is exactly the kind of anti-Catholic rhetoric I keep talking about. You are free to disagree with the papacy, Catholic authority, the Eucharist, Mary, justification, or anything else Catholicism teaches. But at least represent Catholic teaching accurately.

Catholics do not believe the pope replaces Jesus Christ as Head of the Church. Catholic doctrine explicitly teaches that Christ is the Head of His Body, the Church. The pope is the Vicar of Christ and the visible shepherd of the Church on earth; his authority is received from Christ and remains subordinate to Christ. He is not another Christ and does not take Christ’s place.

And calling more than a billion Catholics an apostate, satanic counterfeit does not become a biblical argument simply because a prominent Protestant preacher said it. Current Vatican statistics count more than 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide.

Show me the official Catholic doctrine that teaches the pope has replaced Jesus Christ as Head of the Church. Not someone’s interpretation of Catholicism—the Church’s actual teaching.

Disagree with Catholicism all you want. But if your argument requires Catholicism to believe something it explicitly denies, you are arguing against a caricature, not Catholicism.
