Join us in representing our Women’s Department at the annual Walk-a-Thon in Tucson, AZ. Together, we’ll raise funds to support missionaries around the world as they share the Word of God.
Luke chapter 7
A woman known for her broken past learned that Jesus was eating at the house. She came carrying a small alabaster jar filled with costly oil. Standing behind him at his feet, she was overcome. Tears began to fall, soaking his feet. She knelt down and wiped them with her hair, kissing them again and again.
Then she opened the jar and poured out the perfume. The fragrance filled the room, and every eye turned toward her. Some watched with judgment, others with discomfort. But Jesus saw her differently.
He saw a heart laid bare. He saw gratitude born from mercy. Where others counted her sins, Jesus counted her love. She had been forgiven much, and her love poured out freely because of it.
And Jesus did not turn her away. He received her offering as worship and honored her faith, for she came not to be seen but to give everything she had.
This story reminds us that no one is too broken to approach Jesus, and no offering given in love is ever overlooked. When grace is truly understood, it transforms shame into devotion and fear into bold, beautiful worship.
