Today was a wonderful day... God provided everything we asked for...

We were able to provide Bibles to : 2 Sunday School groups, 1 church for their pews, ( once they are able to reopen ) 2 officers with Avery County Sheriff Department, ( to be further shared with those blessed to ride with them ) 1 Christian Support Group, 1 Food Pantry, 5 Bibles to a Ladies Bible Study and countless Bibles to individuals.

We met Bobby and heard his story.. He and his wife left to go stay with his elderly mother in law, the night before the storm, to return on Saturday finding everything they owned, including their home and five horses completely gone.. Parts of his home were found lodged under the bridge across from the church, but only fragments..

Bobby was more than happy to have the Bibles they lost replaced and never expressed an ounce of bitterness over
his losses.. He was extremely grateful that he and his wife were alive, and glad to get new Bibles.

We met and blessed another unnamed lady who lost everything and is currently living in a camper..

We we're blessed with visits from some long-term and lifetime friends, and made new friendships.

We had people from the community not only drive to us, but walk to where we were, to get new Bibles.. We did some walking ourselves, and was oh, so blessed to find daffodils blooming among the ruins.. This served to remind us it's not just important to bloom, its important to bloom wherever life's storm takes you..

The granddaughters made new friends and also got to experience the joy of giving..

We saw firsthand where multiple lives were lost and left the area, so glad to be alive..

THANK YOU to Minneapolis Baptist and to each individual each business who have given money, prayed for the ministry, bought and donated Bible's, and supported us in any way..

This is your ministry... Your part is just as important and it's not overlooked..

First Free KJV Bible Distribution 2025 is confirmed for March 29th!!

We will be at Minneapolis Baptist Church in Minneapolis, NC....

Please begin to pray that we will be able to get Bibles directly into the hands of those who need them the most...

We are still accepting tax deductible donations, and new Bibles...

Realizing the variety of storms people face, " Scriptures For The Storm " has changed both our logo and most importantly our focus...

We will be now be providing free KjV Bibles to those experiencing loss related to storms due to floods, fire, domestic violence and tornados..

We will at present, continue to primarily serve those at a loss following Helene.. We have 3 Bible distributions scheduled in the next three months, however please reach out if the need arises to have Bible's given for those in other storms.

We have serviced two families that lost their entire homes to fire in 2025..

Scriptures For The Storm is growing and touching more lives with some amazing changes to be announced later this month. There will be an opportunity to give more Bibles in a special way beginning February fifteenth..

Scriptures For The Storm was extremely blessed in 2024, to have been sponsored by a variety of churches and organizations..and we remain so very grateful.. The giving touched so many lives by putting Bible's back into the hands of those who lost them during Helene..

We will be starting 2025 with more opportunities for individual giving.. Please continue to pray as we move forward and touch lives, one at a time...

Please share Scriptures For The Storm with your friends. Most importantly, please pray as we begin to minister to those still suffering from the storms in the coming months.

Update::

Scriptures For The Storm has received more donations this week..

We are blessed to have been given both a private donation and also one from a business that took up monies for us during the month of November.

The giving that some people are doing is just straight from the Lord and I'm so grateful for those who allow him to pour through you..

We were also blessed to receive another invite to conduct a Bible distribution in Altamont, NC....

Today, in Altamont, they have 4 inches of snow, therefore this distribution will not be anytime soon..

The invitation, however, will give us time to pray and make arrangements as needed..

Remember anyone wanting to make a donation, prior to the end of the year, it can and will be 2024 tax deductible...

Special thanks to Tommy and Louann Howard for their recent donation of 30 Scofield Bibles to Scriptures For The Storm, in memory and honor of their son Glenn Howard. ( Charity Howard )

Glenn recently breathed home and as Louann said, " There's no greater way that we could honor Glenn than by puttIng a good Bible back in the hands of someone who has lost everything"

Glenn was a man of honor and so giving to those in need. He would be one of the first to be up there in areas of need, giving all he could to help others...and so we thank the Howards for honoring his legacy through their giving...

Maybe there is someone you would like to honor in a special way... Donating a Bible is both a current way to honor their memory and also an eternal way..

We will never see on this side of glory, what our Lord does through your giving, however, after November sixteenth, there will be people in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, who can once again sit down with a Bible that belongs to them and draw strength from the storms ....through Scriptures For The Storm ..

On the way home from church tonight, we received the message that we just have another donation of a hundred and sixty Bible's, and there will be another order delivered Friday of fifty more..
