5/1/2025 15 years of ministry. We are pretty much retired. We are still helping in our local communities with small projects as the need arises.
(1)
We have been construction missionaries since September 2010. We moved to Priest River Idaho in May of 2010 with a plan to find some land, build a small cabin and retire. Well God had other plans. Since September 2010 we have been traveling on short and long term projects. We come in after a disaster and work with Long Term Recovery Groups to help rebuild homes for families who are uninsured or und
er insured.Sometimes our services are volunteer and others we are paid a small stipend for Terry's construction supervision or consultation. Debbie is a bookkeeper and has helped set up the books for several long term recovery groups so that they could track the grants and expenses of each building project. In February 2020 we completed a 2 year commitment in Sinton Texas. Where we helped rebuild homes lost in Hurricaine Harvey.
2020-2021 update- since returning to North Idaho in April 2020 we have been focusing on helping individuals in our neighborhood. God gave us a word of bloom where you are planted while you are there. In other words Help those around you wherever you are. No matter how long you are an area. So we have been doing small projects for friends, neighbors and our church. Helping where ever the need is. We are helping a neighbor who is still forced to work at an advanced age, build an apartment in a warehouse so that she might be able to rent it out and have the income to retire. We are helping the elderly in our community repair their homes. We went back to Pateros to help a non profit remodel an unused church into a Day Care for the community. We have other projects waiting for us. It just takes time and sometimes a little extra funds to help buy building supplies when the families finances are too tight to afford the repairs. if you would like to donate to our repair fund, you can any amount.. a one time gift or consider being a monthly supporter. We appreciate any gift. Even a single dollar gift will add up to help us reach our goal of helping as many people who are in need of repairs as we can. Thanks in advance and God bless you,
Terry and Debbie Parsons

May 1st has always been a very special day for us. This year marks 15 years since we packed up everything to follow our dream of retiring in Priest River Idaho. God had other plans for us and it has been a time of adventure and ministry. I will not go into all the details here. If you would like to read about our adventures, you can read some of our earlier posts. We were construction missionaries for 10 years traveling and helping rebuild homes after disasters and for the last 5 years we have been living and serving in Noxon and Trout Creek Montana. We have loved our time here, but the Lord has impressed upon us that it is time for us to head back to Raymond WA. Family is more important than anything else we can do. Our Family is a very important ministry, probably the most important gift and choice we will ever make. We will be making plans to go back for as long as we are needed. With that being said, We will be closing this page as we close this chapter. Thank you for your prayer support over the last 15 years. Keep the prayers coming and God bless you.

We arrived at our friends home on April 7th. We resumed a repair project that we started over 2 1/2 years ago before we left for Texas. We have really enjoyed our time spent with friends. We moved to Sam Owen Campground on May 13th. We love this campground!! Deb’s dream mountains and water. She is in Heaven. Every time Terry turns around Deb and Molly ( our dog) are in the lake. lol. We are making friends with our coworkers. On our days off we are checking out the area, exploring the Forest Service roads and campgrounds. Terry is looking forward to possibly spending the winter in North Idaho and being able to hunt for deer, elk and maybe a moose. We have worked so hard for the last 5 years in ministry it is a nice break to have an easier schedule and are enjoying the summer break from ministry. Although we are always looking for ways to help those around us and Debbie is still active in The Restore Movement. She continues to do a weekly Words Of Encouragement Facebook Live on Thursdays. Hope you will check it out.
UPDATE 4/1/2020
Jan 15th we finished our 2 year commitment in South Texas. Feb 1 we started our 2 month vacation. We have been traveling through the south eastern states. While we were traveling Covid-19 peaked and we had to find a place to self isolate. We had a great time in Iowa. We were the only campers for the first week and a half. We wait for a break in the weather and for it to warm up a bit so we could head for home in North Idaho. We had plans to stay with our friends in Newport Washington in self Isolation until we start our summer job at Sam Owen Campground in Hope Idaho.
UPDATE 5/1/2019
We have been serving in South Texas since 1/7/2018 Helping rebuild homes lost to Hurricane Harvey. We plan to be here until at least January 2020. We are serving with Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group. Terry is helping with construction and Debbie is doing the bookkeeping for the non-profit group.
UPDATE 5/1/2017

We are starting a project in Newport WA help a couple finish renovating their home. They have run short of funds and need help. If you would like to give towards this project please let us know.
Our Story
In May 2012 we moved from Priest Lake Idaho down to the Pend Oreille Bible Camp North of Newport WA. We have been working on a Hard Hats for Christ Construction Missions Project. We had planned to be there from May to September but God had other plans and 3 years later we are still here. We will be finishing our project at the camp at the end of April. Terry has been helping with several projects at the camp and doing maintenance and repairs as needed. We have enjoyed our time at the camp but deep in our hearts we know that there is something more that the Lord wants us to do.
For many years, we have had a burning desire to help individuals. It has always been our goal to someday be able to go in after a disaster and help people who are uninsured or under-insured rebuild their homes.
Last summer there were several devastating fires in North Central Washington. Almost 400 homes were burned and many people are left without a home. We feel that God is calling us to go to Pateros Washington and to help as many families as we can to rebuild their homes. We also hope to be able to share God’s love with them and help them get back to a normal life.
We are stepping out in faith and planning to head for Pateros on May 1st. Terry has the skills but we need your help as prayer warriors and financial partners. Rebuilding Together Ministries - Helping Rebuild Homes & Lives
Maybe you have always dreamed of being able to go help others but do not have the skills. You can help by giving. You can be a part of our ministry by being a financial supporter.
