Just finished this book & it was such a sweet, hallmark like romance!! I felt as though I was literally watching a Gilmore girls meets hallmark type of movie the entire time I was reading. I love the spring vibes and the warm, fuzzy feelings this book brings. ๐Ÿ’—

This book is a Friendโ€™s to Lovers, Small town romance written in 3rd person, with DUEL POV. You get the chemistry, you get the spice and you get this very sweet, well written puppy love forever, type of romance. This book truly delivered, leaving you with a tummy full of butterflies ๐Ÿฆ‹. But, If you want the full, lovely โ€œspringโ€ effect, I highly recommend reading this book outside, in the fresh air while listening to birds sing. It really does enhance the reading experience! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐ŸŒธ

I was so excited to start this book & it only took me a day to finish it! I was immediately hooked and I enjoyed every minute of it. The banter between the MFC & the MMC was very fun, but I wish there was moreโ€ฆ I donโ€™t know, angst? & perhaps more violence from Hawk. (I know, Iโ€™m toxic ๐Ÿคช)

However, The MFC captivated me right away & The twists actually surprised me. I did not suspect what I later realized and I canโ€™t believe it took me by surprise, usually I figure it out. Perhaps I was too engulfed in the banter. ๐Ÿคญ However, I realize now that it all makes sense.

I will say, that there is a lot of internal monologue which you may or may be your thing. I personally didnโ€™t mind it that much in this book.

There is also a little bit of spice, so keep that in mind if you prefer closed door romance.

This book from Freida McFadden had me HOOKED from the first page!! I absolutely devoured this book.

Picture this: youโ€™re isolated in your cabin in the middle of the woods, on a stormy evening and you see what looks to be a person inside your shed at night. You go to investigate and what do you find? A GIRL, COVERED IN BLOOD, HOLDING A KNIFE.

I was absolutely paranoid for Ella the entire time I was reading this book. I was LITERALLY on the edge of my seat, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, TWIST. I gasped out loud and my husband was staring at me in confusion.

Secrets, suspense and danger all wrapped up in this book and I loved every bit of it.

If youโ€™re looking for a fast paced , quick read thatโ€™ll keep you guessing on the edge of your seat, pick up this book.

I read this book last year but want to recap & share my review!

This book was better than I expected it to be! This was my FIRST Catherine Cowels book, ever! & this was all it took for me to become a forever a fan!!

The writing was perfect. The way it immersed me in the story was phenomenal. I literally felt like a I was living in this same small town and in on all the gossip. I ate this book up!!

The story was very captivating and the character development was great. Forced proximity & Enemies to lovers are my two fave tropes and for a small town romantic suspense, this DELIVERED! I absolutely fell in love with the characters and this story. This book was definitely a 5star read for me! It hit every single one of my marks!!
