ACTIVITIES
1. Scavenger Hunt. Pick a few items around your house and hide them around. Write down the list of things that you have hidden, and give a copy to each child. Have them hunt for the items and see how quickly they can find every item you've hidden. You can have the kids compete against each other or work together to see how quickly they can do it. Talk to your kids about how Jesus seeks us out in order to save us, just like they are searching for the lost items.
2. Shadow Stories. Supplies: A white sheet hung up on a wall and a flashlight for each child. Directions: Put a sheet up in a room where you can make it very dark. Give each child a flashlight. Have your kids recreate the story of Zacchaeus using shadow puppets. They can either use their hands to create the characters or they can cut out characters from paper and place them on craft sticks to hold while they shine the light on them.

QUESTIONS
1. Is there ever a time that you looked really hard for something?
2. Why did Jesus hang out with "tax collectors and sinners"?
3. Why do you think Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus so badly?
4. What does it mean to be "lost"?
5. How do you think Zacchaeus' salvation might have affected his community and the other tax collectors?

RESPONSE
Talk to your kids about how Jesus seeks and saves all people who choose to put their faith in Him. Take some time and thank Jesus as a family for all He has done to seek us out and to save us from our sins. This would also be a great time to talk to your kids about if they have asked Jesus into their hearts. Celebrate together the fact that Jesus has saved us all!

It's Sunday! Pick a few worship songs and worship together as a family!

ACTIVITIES
1. 2 True, 1 False. Each person in your family picks two things that are true about themselves and one thing that is false. Go around the room telling your "two trues and one false." Then have your family guess which is the false thing.
2. Pick their favorites. Have one person from your family pick a topic of people's favorites (food, animal, color, etc.) Go around the room guessing what you think each person's favorite is. Whoever guesses a person's favorite right gets a point. The person at the end with the most points wins.

QUESTIONS
1. What are three things you know about your best friend?
2. Why didn't the Israelites want to travel through Samaria?
3. What truth did Jesus reveal to the woman at the well?
4. What did the woman do when she realized who Jesus was?
5. How does it make you feel to know that Jesus knows you and loves you?

RESPONSE
Spend some time talking to your kids about how Jesus knows each one of us and loves us all. Talk about how because we get to know this good news, we also have the responsibility to tell other people this good news. Take a large piece of paper or poster board and spend some time making a mural together showing about the good news of Jesus. You can write or draw things you know about Jesus and things you want to tell other people about Him. Then hang it in your house (or even outside your house) so that you can remember to tell other people about the good news of Jesus!

ACTIVITIES
1. Christmas Comic Book. Sit down with your kids and create a comic book together retelling the Christmas story. Talk about the different parts of the story together, and have fun creating something together.
2. Create your own nativity scene. Using random items from your house (you can even let your kids pick the items), create your own nativity scene. Talk together about who was at the scene, what happened, and what that means for us now.

QUESTIONS
1. What is your favorite part of Christmas?
2. Who were Jesus' earthly parents?
3. Where did Jesus' earthly parents travel to?
4. What does the birth of Jesus mean to you?
5. How can we celebrate the birth of Jesus this year?

RESPONSE
Spend some time as a family reading through the Christmas story. Talk about what each part of the story means for you and your family. Spend some time thanking God for sending Jesus to the earth so that we can be with him forever.

ACTIVITIES
1. Pick Up Sticks- Gratitude Version. Find 5 different colors of sticks and let your kids make a mess of them on the floor. Then let them pick up one stick at a time. With each stick, allow them to say one thing they're thankful for (something different depending on what color stick they pick up).
Here's an example of a list of colors and thankfulness ideas:
-Red: A person you're thankful for
-Blue: A place you're thankful for
-Green: A food you're thankful for
-Yellow: A thing you're thankful for
-Orange: Anything you're thankful for
2. Go on a gratitude scavenger hunt. Take a walk (inside or outside your house) together. As you walk together, find things around you that you are thankful for and share them with each other. Spend some time enjoying moments with your kids.

QUESTIONS
1. What was your favorite part of Thanksgiving?
2. What are some ways that we can be thankful to God?
3. What are some ways we can be thankful to each other?
4. How can we use the things God has given us to give back to others?

RESPONSE
Have your children each think of one thing to be thankful for. Write each item on a piece of paper or a sticky note and place it in a prominent spot in your house. As you go through life this week, take some time to thank God for the things He has given you, and add to your thankfulness list as the week progresses.
