Break the Link Summary
Family Christian Center’s Break the Link Ministry was founded in 2012. This ministry motto is born from the Holy Spirit insight that the s*x industry is a single “industry” that spans from po*******hy to s*xual human trafficking. What does this mean for the so called casual p**n user? It means every click, every view, not only enslaves their souls but serves to enslave another human being. The Break the Link team (consisting of volunteer members from several churches) believes that only through attacking the demand issue can this “industry” be slowed and stopped.

Using Pure Desire Ministry Materials and inspired by the ground breaking work of Professor Reisman and Rev. Dr. Roberts, we have spent the greater part of 12 years trying to reach the NW OH/ SE MI Christian Community. To be honest, our appeal for the most part was never heard or fell on deaf ears. FCC has spent thousands of dollars and tried its best to be a service to the Body of Christ. However, either we miscalculated the need, which we doubt based on Pure Desire and Barna polling, or the church is not ready to address a matter that strikes deep into one soul, marriage, family, and church, the matter of intimacy and true worship (Colossians 3:5). It is our prayer to continue to serve the Body of Christ, but it is now time to confront and offer assistance to the community at large.
One of our great lessons learned is that we live in a noisy society and people are constantly bombarded with very sophisticated messaging to garner their attention and dollars. We understand that our efforts to reach the church may have suffered from our lack of resources. Additionally, we acknowledge to reach the NW OH/SE MI
communities will require significantly more financial resources than we are able to muster. We have hired a Christian Marketing expert, Rev. Rod Brandt. The marketing plan has been developed and portions have been completed and executed. However, financial constraints have limited our outreach. We believe with sufficient funding, many more can find freedom from the shame and ruinous effects s*xual addiction and sin have on individuals, marriages, and families. Our hope is in Christ Jesus, and through him faithful servants have been equipped to “set the captives free”.
Recent Impact
2024: 23 souls assisted; 2025: 20 souls being assisted,; 2026: 14 souls being assisted. We are excited to announced that groups are forming in Oregon, OH, Bedford, MI and Temperance, MI. These groups are led by leaders who came from our program but are not overseen by us. They are covered by the group leaders’ home churches.
Total Lives Touched: We estimate 130 lives have gone through our various men’s, women’s, and teen’s groups. We have conducted twenty men’s groups, nine women’s groups, and three teen groups in the last 14 years.
